Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh Card of the Day

A Feint Plan

wartortle32 A Feint Plan

A Player cannot attack face down monsters in the turn this card is played.

The best that you can do with this card is perhaps stall for a turn if you happen to have a face down monster. I see no use in this card when you can just use a waboku, which is much more versatile as it will protect your monsters, whether they are face up or face down, as well as your LP. There is simply no reason to use this card over waboku or any other attack prevention trap.

I'd give it a 2/5. It may have some uses, but it's already very hard to keep your deck size down these days so there isn't really room for a specialty card like this.
NickWhiz1 Monday - A Feint Plan

I don't have a witty remark to start off today. I'll just say sorry for not doing reviews in a little while. I was out of town for a week, plus I've had work, which has taken away my motivation to even play this game. But I've gathered it back, and I'm ready to try to go back to 5 reviews a week (and maybe a column or two!), so let's get cracking.

Normal Trap

Well, I suppose this is one way to protect your Cyber or Fiber Jar so you can flip them and gain the advantage. Or, it's just another stall card that sounds good at first, but then you realize it's just a one turn fix. Of course, if all you have is face-down monsters, then your opponent can't attack you period for the turn, which is nice, but this card is just too narrow. Waboku may not provide complete protection, but it's much more versatile than this. Consider using this in a Flip effect-heavy deck, however (although Flip effect-heavy decks are very vulnerable these days).

Score: 2.1
SandTrap Well, I’m back on the CotD Team, ready to review some more cards from the LOD set. Let’s see here...

I must say, this card sucks. The only way that I could think of that could make this card useful was if your Sinister Serpent was getting manhandled by a Spear Dragon or Airknight. But I mean, c’mon. I don’t think there is any reason to play this card. Don’t play this card. Don’t. I’m watching you...yeah, put it in the binder or garbage can, right where it belongs. Ah ah, don’t you try sliding it back into your deck. I got my eyes all over j00.

...

....Cough, anyways. Rating: .3/5 . If I ever see this card being played in tournament, I will come after you and make sure that I rip the card in half. Then I’ll run away as Security chases after me. Shrug.

Trap Card

A Player cannot attack face-down monsters this turn

Well, this is an interesting card…

I like it… a lot. This is mostly because I don’t have polymerization OR fusion gate… and my poor man’s fusion is the combo of Summoner of Illusions + Dimensionhole. If I place SoI face down and lay this trap, I'm guaranteed (well, assuming they don’t have like… heavy storm, MST… 7 Tools… Solemn Judgement, etc.) to get my combo (I need SoI’s flip effect). This card can be real handy.

However, it is a very situational card. And you probably only need it in situations like mine.

I give it a 3 out of 5. Its got some really good uses, but its very situational.
