Heavy Storm

For 99% of all decks: you run this or you lose.

This is THE biggest game-changing card we have, and I'd put it up with or possibly even ABOVE Graceful Charity or Mirror Force. Think about it -- most of the time you play Graceful, you're digging for an answer to a problem your opponent has in your way that's preventing you from winning the game. Most often, that question is a face-down Spell or Trap that could ruin your day. The answer you're looking for is Heavy Storm.

We have a lot of Spell/Trap removal available to us; Breaker to nuke one M/T, Mobius to get rid of 2, Dust Tornados for those who can afford to be patient but want to added bonus of picking off M/Ts at the end phase...but this is the king of 'em all. It nukes everything. Dark Hole is banned for a reason. Raigeki and Harpie's Feather Duster are also banned for a reason. Heavy is ridiculously powerful, and can generate mass advantage (your Heavy trades off and takes 2 opponent Spell/Traps, then your monsters take out 2 of their monsters...that's a big swing in advantage).

Even some stall decks back in the day ran 2 Heavy Storm when they were legal. If you happen to see Jeff Yushak at Nationals or judging at a Shonen Jump, ask him about his clown control deck and the incident with the Heavy Storm. You'll get a good chuckle. The important thing is though, that even the stall deck can get some benefit out of it, as the regular deck's player will never see it coming.

5/5 all. If you have this and don't play it you are a n00000000000b.

Dark Paladin
Well, the rest of this week seems to be "Staple Week" so these will be short and sweet folks.

Heavy Storm is excellent. It destroys all magic and trap cards on the field. A great card to attack and even finish with. Run it, you know you should.

Ratings: 4.25/5 all around

Art: 3/5 too many weather pictures

Yuo stay classy, Planet Earth :)
