Majestic Mech Okha ;

Wellity , wellity wellity. What do we have here?

Okha, and his big Bro are other cards we’ve reviewed FAIRLY recently, and this one in particular was all set to overtake Cyber Dragon. Well, it didn’t.

Right now , in a world where attributes no longer matter, Ohka can’t really finds its place. It’s fairly good too, a 2400 that is essentially free, that’ll die at the end of the turn. Combo this with a Cyber Dragon, and essentially you can take over half their lp in one hit, then still be stuck with a Cyber Dragon for defense. THEN combo that with Waboku, JUST in case. Sweet huh?

In the right deck, Okha’s a beast, but it can’t be used willy - nilly, some strategy is required. Think about how you use it, and you’re sorted, just suiciding into a Jinzo can make it worthwhile.

All in all, Okha’s a stable card, that could make a huge difference when it counts, I mean the combo potential’s enormous. Just think about the heavy hits with Enemy controller !

Majestic Mech - Ohka

Tough break, Ohka. You were good until September.

Ohka was okay, but really not something I'd build a deck around. I don't see myself running Skill Drain just to get a 2400 ATK monster out without incurring some negative effect. (Although this card would work well in Skill Drain, it's just not a Tier 1 deck.) The one big thing this DID have going for it, besides trading off for a Monarch, was that it was a Light to be removed for the now-banned Chaos Sorcerer. Without that immediate free source of removal, there's not nearly as much of a reason to play a monster you know is going to die at the end of the turn.

I can think of a lot better monsters with 2400 ATK, and several better ways to destroy one opposing monster, using one card, that doesn't take up your Summon for the turn (or a couple that do, but combo with Last Will.)

Ryoga
Majestic Mech Okha:
I never really thought of Fairies as berserkers. They seemed more reliable and less prone to violence.

A 2400 for one turn without tribute ain't that bad, really. An opponent would be unlikely to Sakuretsu this, merely because it will blow itself up. Thus, it's a 1-4-1 in a way. Works a bit better with Cannon Soldier/Tribute-related costs. Works wonderfully with Last Will (which is now good, if you hadn't noticed.
Oh, Mr. Mirror Force has just gone off? Oh, dang.
Well, meet Mr. Spirit Reaper).

Majestic Mech Okha

I kinda like this monster and kinda don't. It pays for itself, can be swapped, and takes a huge chunk of LP away with a direct hit. But overall this monster needs to stay in either the light decks or skill drain decks. Sadly, I just don't like it killing itself.

3/5

A decent monster but nothing worth wasting a sakuretsu armor on (unless it is game)

Majestic Mech Okha

Today we look at another card I like Majestic Mech Okha. A very big light type that can pummel a ton of stuff.

This card can work dreams, normal summon, attack monster and kill it and swap it over, gain monster and it dies at end. Very easy combo. It can go toe-to-toe with Monarchs, kill Cyber Dragons, Jinzo, and much more and can easily turn a game around to your direction. These werent played much last format, dont know why but maybe this format they can be a good solution to Monarchs(if they get heavily played).

It being light would have worked with Sorcerer, but guess no one got the clue. I know 1 person that did well with them though, and even came close to

Top8ing with them at a SJC. I unno, test it out animals.

DeathJester
Majestic Mech – Ohka

I was just thinking about this card the other day. I think he’s a great choice for Aggro players looking for cheap solutions to major threats like Cyber Dragon, Dark World monsters, and most notably some Monarchs.

He’s a Light (somewhat irrelevant now), 6-star, 2400 ATK Fairy-type monster. He has good synergy with the popular Freed-Return deck. In that deck he functions as beatstick and as Graveyard food for Freed the Brave Wanderer.

Like I said, he’s excellent for Aggro. 2400 ATK is massive for a “4-star” monster. His ability makes him extremely annoying. It almost seems like a waste to use any kind of removal when he attacks since he’ll send himself to the grave during the End Phase anyway. He places some pressure on the opponent to fall into a “damned it I do, damned if I don’t” situation. I love that.

Heck, he’s even good Creature Swap bait. It’s like swapping a Spirit monster except this one goes to the Graveyard. I know Shane Scurry tried this last format. Didn’t seem to work for him, but it’s definitely a possibility. I would swap him I didn’t feel safe about my opponent’s backfield while thinking about attacking into a Monarch.

Last Word: I like Ohka. He’s huge monster with a not-so-bad drawback. He does what he does and then leaves the field. You can even resolve Last Will during the End Phase that he goes to the Graveyard if you’re worried about field presence.
