Dark Paladin
Wednesday

Today we look at quite an interesting monster, another excellent choice for the Water deck, the handsomely dressed, tuxedo wearing, red bow-tie sporting, top hat supporting, Nightmare Penguin.

Nightmare Penguin is Level 4 who only has a terribly low 900 attack but a very respectfully solid 1800 defense. Our handsome penguin also boasts a couple of special abilities to warrant his play.

First, he increases the attack of all Water monsters you control while face up on the Field. Obviously, ideally in defense mode, as the 900 attack isn't going to get you very far or for very long. Secondly, when flipped, he has the effect of being able to return one card on your opponent's side of the Field to their Hand.

That's where the real power comes in. One card, whether it be monster or magic or trap card, you can return it, no questions asked. The 200 attack point bonus is marginal, but can and probably would be combined with A Legendary Ocean.

Not bad folks, but like I said yesterday, the Legendary Ocean Deck just can't quite hold its own in the current format, which is still regrettable.

Nightmare Penguin

This Penguin gives your opponent nightmares for sure. His DEF is large, his ATK is not horrible and he can bounce any card on the field for a flip. Plus he is searchable through Mother Grizzly and if that weren't enough, he gives a 200 ATK boost to all your WATER monsters. Many of my victories with my Liquid Evolution deck used him to bounce and then beat down on the opponent. Probably one of the most underrated cards of our time.
