Dark Paladin
Well, it's a new week, and we have four new cards for you, after today, but someone decided we should look at something very old today, and I refer to Kaiser Glider.

Kaiser Glider has always been one of those monster I have considered to be underrated, even before the days of the Divine Monarchy, and one I've always liked, despite being a Dragon. Kaiser Glider has 2400 attack (and 2200 defense) and is Level 6 of the Light attribute.

Kaiser Glider has two rather unique abilities, the first being that if it battles with a monster of equal attack points, Kaiser Glider is not destroyed, while the other monster is. What monsters do we know and see played that have 2400 attack points? I can think of about seven.

Furthermore, when destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, whether by Magic, Trap, or Monster Effect, you get to return one Monster on the Field to the owner's Hand. That's good, as you can return whatever may be giving you some trouble to your opponent's Hand, or even something to your own Hand. Possibly a Flip Effect you would like to reuse or something?

Kaiser Glider sees little to no play at all...which is, yet isn't surprising. He is suprisingly splashable, and your opponent isn't going to be likely to attack it to willingly give up their own monster.
I personally would at least side one, as it may throw your opponent for a loop.

Ratings:

Traditional: 2/5 It is Light, and the effects aren't terrible, but
it doesn't really belong here.

Advanced: 3.75/5 More solid then people will admit or realize, but I still doubt it will be used...at all.

General Zorpa Kaiser Glider

Wow, this one's an oldie. A fan specifically requested this one, and I'll show you why it is still a decent card. 2400 ATK is standard, with a slightly higher than average DEF of 2200. Dragon is good, as it benefits from being able to be used with five Headed Dragon. LIGHT is not really an issue for or against, as it is neither good or bad. However like most good effect monsters, it is the effects, not the stats that make them great.

Glider has an effect that allows it not to be destroyed in battle: while both monster's ATK is the same. This is not as useful as you might think, as the only 2400 ATK monsters that would be deployed currently (Raiza and Zaborg) will blow Glider away. But when it is destroyed, it has a nifty little trick up it's sleeve. It returns one monster on the field to it's owner's hand. Note that you HAVE to return a monster. It is rather effective against the DARK deck, as it prefers it's monsters in the graveyard or removed from play pile. Not by any means a counter to the deck, but just something that might work out well. In my own opinion, Prime Material Dragon is better, both for it's combo effect and it's better anti-destruction effect. Still a decent option for a Dragon deck, but not much else.

Ex` Monday March 31st: Kaiser Glider

Greetings Y'all. Today is a Fan Picked Review and the topic happens to be Kaiser Glider, an old school Dragon dating back to Dark Crisis. This also happens to be a Kaiba card. Kaiser Glider is a Light/Dragon monster with 2400 ATK with 2 effects. The first effect was its ability to Kamikaze with any monster with its own attack and survive so a Kaiser Glider running into a Monarch or a Jinzo and the like would have them being killed alone without KG. The second effect allows the player who owns Kaiser Glider to bounce one card back to its owners hand whenever its destroyed and sent to the grave.

In this format, both of Kaiser's effect are near useless when combating against the Dark and OTK decks. This card showed merit during the infamous Monarch Format
