Dark Paladin
Monday

Well, we continue this week looking at Raging Battle cards, and this week...isn't terrible, let's say. Level Warrior, a chincy little monster, who is a Light attributed Warrior type with 300 attack and 600 defense (but those don't really matter...)

As for the Level of Level Warrior...he is Level 3, but can change depending on the Field conditions. If there are no monsters on the Field, you can Special Summon this card as a Level 2 monster, but if your opponent controls 1 monster, and you have none, you can Special Summon this card as a Level 4 monster.

I'm guessing this card is supposed to be used to make Synchro Summoning easier, but I don't really see a use here, even in that case, unfortunately...

Ratings:

1.25/5 all
Art: 2/5 Sort of looks like a rejected Elemental Hero or something...
General Zorpa  Level Warrior

Well I am so not into this guy that I am just not going to review him in full. He does some cute tricks with Synchro Summoning and that is about it. Star Blast was not played and pretty much managing your monsters levels is just a waste of other resources that can help you to win the game.

Level Warrior ...

I like this card. His stats aren't that much, aside from being Light and a Warrior - both excellent things. However, he's got a cool little effect. The first part of it is a throw, cuz it doesn't really matter WHAT level he's at if all u do is normal summon him anyway. Although, then again - u may need him at level 2 in order to get him to Synchro to what u want. What IS important is the 2nd part in which u can special summon him if your opponent controls a monster and u don't. Him being a level 4 after that just makes it THAT much easier to get out your heavy hitters depending on what level 2, 3, or 4 Tuner monster u are also holding at the same time. Or if Synchro isnt what u are planning, then u special summon him in order to tribute him. More cool points? I believe, (and if i'm wrong - my bad!), if he's in hand - u can chain his effect to your draw or standby phase, so u can get him to the field before the "conclusion" of your standby phase, in order to also pull Treeborn Frog from the grave to the field as well. Two free monsters without even normal summoning? That certainly SOUNDS like it should work, right?

Free special summoning is one of the best abilities a monster can have in Yu-Gi-oh. That's why, regardless of what type of deck u are playing - Cyber Dragon was always an option. Same with Treeborn Frog. I think this little guy may get overlooked by a lot of people ... for a while ... till suddenly people start to break him, and the everyone will want one. My prediction.

Level Warrior, this new Raging Battle card will be starting off the week, and its one cool card. Level Warrior is a level 3 LIGHT-attributed Warrior-Type monster with basically a Cyber Dragon effect. If there are absolutely no monsters on either field it can be normal summoned as a level 2 monster. If your opponent controls a monster and you dont, you can special summon it as a level 4 monster. Being a level 3 monster however, it becomes searchable by Reinforcement of the Army, unfortunately Reinforcement of the Army is at 1 on the forbidden/limited list. If we had this card back when Reinforcement of the Army was at 3, it'd have been a very popular card. Now though its not that great really.

Darkstarr Hey my name is Cali but you can call me Darkstarr. I have always wanted to do Cards of the day ever since I started looking at the reviews myself. Now since I can lets get this thing started shall we. Level Warrior is the card of the day lets take a look at its stats first.

Level Warrior
[Warrior/Effect] Light LV3 ATK/ 300 DEF/ 600
If there are no monsters on the field, you can Special Summon this monster from your hand. If this card is Special Summoned by this effect, it's Level becomes 2. If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is Special Summoned by this effect,it's Level becomes 4.

This light warrior can be easily searched out. Cards like Rota, Shining Angel, and even Sangan can get him from your deck fairly quick. Being a light monster only pushes him a little more being Honest-able and a target for Beckoning of Light. The attack and defense on this card are horrible even for a level three monster as cards that are commonly played like his most likely predecessor Sangan, Grand Mole, and even level two Krebons can easily run over him. He's not here to capitalize on attack though. His ability to change his level says it all. Combined with the fact that he can be a weak Cyber Dragon he can easily become a synchro target. Sadly he is not a tuner himself witch limits his playability. Still, tuners would be able to couple up with him quite easy, but don't we have Destiny Hero Malicious, our own monsters with good effects, and most importantly our opponents for this?

Traditional: 1.0 (Way to many other choices)
Advanced: 2.5 (He would be better as a tuner)

Today’s card up for review is Level Warrior. I kind of like this card, and haven’t heard anybody talk about it really. I cannot see this card being in a competitive deck, but seems like you can certainly make a fun deck possibly even built around this guy. What I think right off the bat, is that you could make a fun Synchro based deck with this guy. He is giving you two different options on making one. You would using Tuners such as Rose Warrior Of Revenge, Krebons, and even Psychic Commander/Gale The Whirlwind along side him to make something nasty. I see unlimited potential in this guy, but wrong time to try to mess with it in my eyes because of the format.
