Fortune Lady Fire …

Lady Fire is as good as good as Lady Light … maybe even a bit better. She’s 1 level higher, and has the same “level increase – each standby phase “skill that Light and all the other Fortune Ladies have, but coming out the box at Level 2 and only gaining 200 ATK points each standby doesn’t make her any more of a physical combat threat than Light is. But unlike Light, Fire can dish out a big hit when the timing is right. Namely – your opponent has a big monster on the field – and u are able to special summon Fire with a Fortune Lady effect.
Bang – u blow ur opponent’s monster to bits, AND they take that monster’s ATK as direct damage. Field clearing AND big burn damage to boot? – Yes, it’s lovely. That’s part of what makes Fire better than Light. Light will do nothing on her own. Her value comes from fetching her sisters. And unless u have a way to remove her from the field, she won’t even be doing THAT. Fire, on the other hand actuall y CAN finish off your opponent. And when the other Fortune Ladies come out, she’ll have other methods of being special summoned by them, making her than much more valuable.

This being said – Fire does have a major flaw that Light doesn’t suffer from. U NEVER want to draw Fire. Once in your hand (especially while the next booster isn’t out yet), she will have NO means of being special summoned by a Fortune Lady, and u are stuck with a terrible in-hand card. Light, on the other hand – u ALWAYS want to draw, so u can get your Fortune ladies ball rolling.

These girls will have a million tricks when they are at full force, and Fire is gonna be one of the best on the team.

Fortune Lady Fire starts day 2 of this week. When its special summoned by a Fortune Lady in attack position, you destroy a face-up monster your opponent controls and they take damage equal to the destroyed monsters attack. Shes a Ring of Destruction basically, but without protection shes really really weak. Using Future Visions in here would probably help the deck more if you managed to pull it first turn. Mirror matches with Fortune Ladies may be very difficult though. Most of the Fortune Ladies are rather weak so when you go and build Fortune Ladies, make sure you add enough protection or else they can easily get trampled by all the bigger monsters in Gladiator Beasts, Lightsworns and DAD decks.
