Fuck’s sake. So yes, this is the second time an innocuous Grade 0 made the Number One slot: Belial FUCKING Owl. As soon as Luard can call two of this, you just sack them with Aurageyser Doomed, retire cards if you’re lucky, and then recoup the cards back at a +1 to yourself MINIMUM. And this fucker recycles itself back to deck too, in case the fact that this was a Critical trigger wasn’t enough of a reason to run this little bastard. Or just sack him for whatever bullshit needs to retire as a cost, like Spectral Blaster Diablo. Rather unhealthy and obsessive hatred aside, yeah, I guess this thing’s sort of basically okay.

What’s up, Rogue Squad?!  So, from what I’ve seen, this was practically unanimous as our #1 pick.  Seriously, Belial Owl is as incredible of a card as you can get for this year.  Searchable?  Check.  Replaces itself when it gets killed off?  Check. Goes back to the deck easily? Check. A CRIT?! CHECK.  This is arguably the easiest recyclable trigger that has come out recently, and it shows.  Pop it off after they got called with an Aurageyser ________ and get a free +2.  Need to get some extra cards into your hand after discarding so many for Dragsrider?  Cool; this helps.  Not to mention that since this goes back to the deck at the end of your turn, then the more the match goes on, a better this card becomes as a Critical Trigger.

Seriously, this was no contest for us.  There’s a reason why he’s never been lower than $20 for a RR…imagine if this came out as an SP though…🧐
