Most Valuable Pokemon Cards of 2017 Countdown
We’re closing out the last 25 days of 2017 with a Countdown of the Top 25 Most Valuable Pokemon Cards. (Based on actual “Sold” prices on eBay this year)
#4 – Crystal Charizard
Skyridge Holo – $6450
Another Charizard cracks the Top 25 Countdown! And I believe this is the first card we’ve seen that has been graded by Beckett as opposed to PSA. Both Beckett and PSA are considered premiere grading services. As you can see, Beckett also has subgrades for Centering, Corners, Edges and Surface whereas PSA just shows you the overall grade. It’s said that it’s more difficult to get a graded Beckett 10 vs. a graded PSA 10. That can skew the prices slightly higher for Beckett 10s. Beckett calls their 10’s Pristine, and PSA calls their 10’s Gem-Mint. In November 2017, this card sold for $6450.
Some quick notes on our rankings: These are all cards you could have reasonably collected in the United States. These are cards that appeared in Booster Boxes, Booster packs, Leagues, and/or Starter Sets. Pokémon TCG fans/players could have plausibly obtained these cards through auctions, trades and/or blind luck pulls. There are no cards “prize cards” in our list. All values are based on actual sales of Pokemon Cards on eBay in 2017. Most of these cards are Professionally-Graded, Gem Mint cards, which are independently certified on their condition.
