Saikyo Cardfighter R This one’s a bit of an oddball card. On one hand, is it fair that as a first Stride, it’s a free +1 that also resource-recharges and for the rest of the game makes certain units unable to be Denial Griffin’d to the face? Probably not, especially because I happen to USE Denial Griffin. Stop hosing Denial Griffin. On the other hand, if the opponent is having to spam this constantly, you can be rest assured their situation is too piss poor to drop anything else. So basically it loses points for having no real Late Game utility but that’s hardly grounds not to use at least two, if you don’t mind forgoing the rent or dinner to afford two. 3/5 |
What’s up, Rogue Squad?! So, anyone who’s a loyal viewer (or at least saw my vLog of Autumnfest Anaheim) knows how I thought it would’ve been a good idea to try and go Meta for once and played my Blaster Blade deck…in a cruel sense of irony, I faced and lost to every Rogue deck I’ve faced off against (seriously, even I was shocked when I saw Machinings), and much like Tasuku whenever he sees Purgatory Knight (yes, I do sometimes watch the Buddyfight anime), anytime I see Gancelot Peace Saver (or any Blaster Blade related card), it reminds me to never go back to the dark side that is the Meta. But enough about bad memories, even back when I was running Blaster Blade, Gancelot was a huge help. The Blaster deck usually has a hefty Counterblast requirement on a good portion of their cards, and sometimes, Barcgal isn’t enough, so Gancelot helps out with his free Countercharge not to mention a quad drive and potential +1 Crit, and he’s not exactly a one trick pony as he also assists Blaster Blade by granting him Resist while he’s faceup in the G Zone during your turn, so it makes stopping him a bit more difficult. Gancelot is definitely a great card, but you only need 2 of him…3 tops if you really want to pressure with the quad drive/extra Crit. Rating: 4.25/5 Art: 4.5/5 (Seriously, his art is pretty damn amazing) Next Time: How do you make the worst clan in the game amazing with just one card? Make the card give all attacks Silent Tom on steroids.
Go Rogue… Go Pro… and Top the Meta!!! |
