It’s too bad this card couldn’t have more of a connection to Conspiracy Theorist from Strixhaven. To be fair, unraveling a conspiracy is very different from theorizing one, and they actually involve quite different skillsets. The Unraveler has the kind of effect you always have to take seriously, though the total mana value you’re required to hit is pretty high for many decks. I think this is intended to be more of a Commander thing, where you often have higher average mana costs in decks and seven mana for a 6/6 is not always an extremely-late-game play. It also makes for some curious situations when you’re casting some kind of mass chaos spell; setting those up in Commander can be a challenge in itself, but that’s probably what the card has in mind just in general.

Anything that offers an alternative casting cost that doesn’t demand mana is going to get attention, and Conspiracy Unraveler offers that for all spells. That sounds…dangerous and potentially degenerate, to say the least. particularly because mana is the usual limiting factor to a great many things.

That said, this card is probably not going to warp formats. It’s a seven-mana creature to begin with, and the alternate casting cost is one that’s a lot steeper than it might seem at first, especially when you are trying to cast multiple things in one turn with it. Collect evidence 10 means you’re going to have to exile two to four cards, usually closer to four, to meet the cost. Sure, you can use this to pop off, but most things will likely have cost less than Sphinxy-Winxy over here, and that means the main use for this is going to be to try and end a game then and there.

I think there’s going to be room for Conspiracy Unraveler to soar in Commander and Limited; it’s good in Limited because it’s a 6/6 with evasion and occasional upside, and the ability of a Commander deck to pop off hard can never be understated once you prepare your graveyard. As a Constructed card, though, the price is too steep to make this shine the way you want it to, and it’s likely only going to be an ancillary plan at best.
