During the Main Phase: You can Fusion Summon 1 Pyro Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck using monsters from either field as material, including “Veidos the Eruption Dragon of Extinction”, and if you do, it gains 500 ATK for each material used. You can banish this card and 1 DARK Pyro monster from your GY; all monsters your opponent currently controls become Pyro until the end of this turn. You can only use each effect of “Ashened to Endlessness” once per turn.

Ashened to Endlessness has been referenced both days this week and now we finally get to review it.
Continuous Trap that can be searched via Veidos off its summon, and acts as another Fusion card for your Pyro Fusion targets. Unlike Extinguishing, Endlessness can only use stuff on the field, but with either side of the field being available as materials: a slow trap verison of Super Poly. This combos well with the Ashened City making everything Pyro on your opponent’s side of the field. Embers of the Ashened is generic in its requirements for Fusion Summon and will gladly use two monsters your opponent controls as material (its too bad it cannot use more than two monsters). This card is a little more restrictive though than Extinguishing or Super Poly, as you have to use Veidos alongside your other Pyro monster(s) for the Fusion Summon. If it allowed for Veidos to be used from the hand it would be a different story. The 500ATK boost is nothing.
Banishing this and a DARK Pyro in the grave to turn everything your opponent has into Pyro monsters for the turn is a way on either turn to help with Fusion Summons involving Super Poly or allowing for Embers of the Ashened to have its way on the board if Ashened City isn’t currently activate. You’ll have a DARK Pyro pretty much always in the grave, especially if you just Fusion Summoned with the first effect. Turning everything your opponent has into Pyro monsters gives Hero another target for destruction, and your banished monster can be returned to the Main Deck with Rekindling the Ashened, with the added benefit of negating an opponent’s monster for the turn.
Searchable with Veidos, Ashened to Endlessness offers more Fusion Summon potential for the archetype on your opponent’s turn as long as their monsters are considered Pyro. You only have two targets in the Extra Deck currently, but you’ll likely run multiples of them, and while Veidos has to be on the field as one of the materials, your strategy is always giving your opponent Veidos just to use it later as a Dark Hole or in this case, a Fusion enabler. I still think Super Poly is better, and Extinguishing may be better as well, but this suggests we may get another or even two more Ashened Fusion Monsters.

If one card for Fusion Summoning wasn’t enough for the Deck, we have another option with Ashened to Endlessness.
Ashened to Endlessness is a Continuous Trap that during the Main Phase can let you Fusion Summon any Pyro Fusion from the Extra Deck by using monsters on either field as material, including Veidos the Eruption Dragon of Extinction, and said Fusion gains 500 ATK per material. A Super Poly effect is always nice to have, even if it requires you to use Veidos as material, but at least it doesn’t matter whos field it is on considering you’re likely giving it to the opponent. The Ashened-related Fusions need Pyro monsters as material, which Obisdim only turns the opponent’s monsters into Pyros on your turn only and only if they were Special Summoned, but you can also banish this card and a DARK Pyro from the grave to make all your opponent’s monsters become Pyro for the turn, so it can combo with a copy on the field to be a board wipe. Hard once per turn on each effect. Ashened to Endlessness is fine for getting to your Fusions on either turn, and potentially helping you Fusion Summon by turning the opponent’s monsters to Pyro. Veidos also gets this from Deck immediately, so you can get that Fusion Summon off on the opponent’s turn for a wipeout of all the monsters on the field.

If Extinguishing the Ashened is the easier way to Fusion Summon Ashened’s new boss monster, Ashened to Endlessness is the more impactful way! This card is a Continuous Trap, and thus can be searched by Veidos the Eruption Dragon of Extinction as well as Priestess of the Ashened City if needed. Endlessness has two hard once per turn effects, the first only usable during the Main Phase to Fusion Summon a Pyro Fusion monster using monsters from either field as material (at least one of which must be Veidos), and as a bonus, it gains 500 attack for each Fusion material. You’re obviously meant to place Endlessness with Veidos and fuse when your turn comes around, decimating your opponent’s board since Obsidim, the Ashened City will turn all of your opponent’s monsters into Pyro monsters, qualifying them as Fusion materials for Ashened’s new boss monster. The idea is there, but the execution is a little awkward because of how they’ve balanced this deck’s Super Polymerization capabilities, because that brings us to Endlessness’s second effect, which lets you banish it and a DARK Pyro monster from your Graveyard to change all of your opponent’s monsters to Pyro type for the turn. It’s not hard to see why this is a lot of work just to fuse your opponent’s board on their turn, since you’ll need to have Endlessness in the Graveyard and have it active on the field at the same time, in addition to setting up the Fusion Summon in the first place. This is less of an issue with Endlessness and more with Obsidim being limited to your own turn, but either way it means you’ll basically never fuse your opponent’s board on their turn. Still, Endlessness is a useful boardbreaker to place on turn 0, so I’d still run one copy alongside Ashened for Eternity– two if you really want to do the Super Poly thing…
