Saikyo Cardfighter R What a step up from the unplayable bullshit that was the OLD Perfect Raizer. Now, this offers something considerably more valuable. CB2 to Stand 2 front-row doesn’t sound especially good as there’s no extra power added on unless he hits, but the Accel Gift-circle is the obvious choice for one of the re-stands so at least one of them is decently meaty. Aside from that, you’re going to have to hope for a decent Trigger to make the other one hit for any meaningful numbers, which is a point not in its favour. Not really fair to review except as a Standard Format card, but seems to be a 4-of at any rate, given the lack of other good Grade 3s early. 3/5 |
What’s up, Rogue Squad?! A little story time: before Granblue became a completable deck, I was actually a Nova Grappler player that splashed in Granblue cards (remember, the format was only Extreme for a couple of years and clan mashing was allowed) and had a deck that I dubbed as NovaBlue. The point is that I was a Nova Grappler player first and have a small hint of respect for the mecha-wrestlers, and for today, we’re looking at the VR for them: Perfect Raizer. Easily, this is so much better than the older Perfect Raizer as it isn’t reliant on having a certain number of Raizers in the Soul as this one only asks to have one (which isn’t too hard to do is your starter is Battleraizer or just riding into a Raizer unit). As for the effect, early game, this isn’t okay as you’d probably Stand your Accel Circle and a column that has a Raizer Custom on it, but once you pull off a second ride and have two Accel Circles, then those become your Restanding targets for the rest of the game. The first ride rush is solid along with a partial refund on hit, but it does move kind of slow (ironic for an Accel deck) to be a real threat. Perfect Raizer’s effects rely on your rear-guards, but so long as you have them, then this starts to slowly get better; but if it’s late game with little to no rear-guards (especially against Kagero), then this starts to become more of a detriment. Play with caution. Standard: 3/5 Premium: 2/5 (Just too slow and too reliant on rear-guards) Next Time: If I ever have a Daughter, I Hope she’s as badass as this. Go Rogue…Go Pro…and Fight the Meta!!! |
