Stadium Nav – Unified Minds Pokemon Review

Stadium Nav (SM – Unified Minds 208/236) is a Trainer-Item that has you flip two coins, then you search your deck for Stadium cards up to the amount of “heads”.    This is an easy review for me to over-complicate, as I originally had something much longer.  Let me start by saying I’ve wanted an Item that searched out Stadium cards since the Black & White-era, and probably even earlier.

Stadium Nav is useful when you need to improve the odds of (effectively) drawing into a maxed-out Stadium, getting the right Stadium when running multiple different Stadiums in the right deck, or situations where both apply. Pikachu & Zekrom-GX decks have been demonstrating this in Standard.  Expanded adds more competition and counters, but also additional potent Stadium cards!  Even if you don’t pull any Stadium cards to fetch from your deck, Stadium Nav is a must for your Limited deck, as it gives you a chance to work out what is Prized!

Stadium Nav isn’t brilliant, but it can do the job.  I’d prefer it simply read “Search your deck for a Stadium card.” as getting a spare Stadium for later or discard costs isn’t worth the risk of the card whiffing, but at least the odds are still heavily enough in your favor of getting at least one Stadium when you use it.
