Saikyo Cardfighter R Very strange design choice. Main support for the deck wants G1s in the drop zone, but here he is wanting to remove them for his skill to go live. The main problem here is slowness: Riviere has the support to go off sooner than Claret, and that in the long run tends to be better, despite the minus overall, whereas Claret Sword is a straight plus to you since you don’t discard or even retire rear-guards to restand. Seven G1s in the drop zone is doable, but you’re going to have to put more work into making the rear-guards better, since Claret will screw with them on the turn you go live. Not helping is the fact his milling is random and nothing can search pieces to dump to the drop. Support is nice, but Claret himself has just too little payoff for all that effort. Use a more reliable multi-attack engine, like the existing Mordred Phantom. Still re-stands so it’s not horrible, but you can do better, competitively. 3/5 |
