[AUTO]:Forerunner [ACT](RC):[Counter Blast (1) & Retire this unit] Look at seven cards from the top of your deck, reveal up to one card with “Chaos” in its card name from among them, put it into your hand, and shuffle your deck. If your opponent has a locked card, your opponent chooses one of his or her rear-guards, and locks it.

We’re starting spoilers for the new Link Joker Booster early, largely because GBT13 drops the same month and there’s only so much time to cover them all. So we start with Chaos Breaker’s new starter. A poor booster, but it has several uses that make it worth running. First is the Red Pulse Dracokid clutch play to add a Grade 3 to ride (although don’t count on this EVER), the capacity to add Stride fodder to hand, and even if that fails, you get to lock a card as long as the opponent has one already (so Chaos Breaker Crisis automatically got you covered).

I’ve seen some continue to run Carbon, although really I’m not down with it anymore. Crisis doesn’t rely on soul anymore and you can generally do more with Planck, not least because the starter doesn’t need to wait until Grade 3 to use.

Solid starter, if a bit weak at boosting.

This new starter for Star-Vaders provides a nice amount of security to the deck.  If you don’t have your Grade 3 (or just don’t have the one you want), Planck can help you fix that issue.  If you do have the card you want to Ride in-hand, this starter can secure you the card you need to Stride.  Beyond that, if you wait until you have begun Locking your opponent’s cards, Planck claims another cheap Lock on top of its search skill.  The ability of course still has the potential for bricking, but the Lock gives it a nice bonus even if you fail the search.

Dont run. Just use the one Chaos has been using. Deck doesn’t need all this locking anyways. If it automatically searched for a Chaos, good; but it doesn’t and leaves it to RNG.

Bad card
