David Fanany Player since 1995 We usually see Human tribal in sets that take place in Innistrad, but I doubt those kinds of decks would say no to an addition like General Kudro. Lots of matchups come down to attrition, and as such his anthem effect and his activated ability are relevant any time the opponent/s start putting down scary blockers. The graveyard ability feels kind of like the odd one out, because it seems a little slow for the formats with the scariest graveyard decks. It might just be fast enough to help in Standard, though. Constructed: 3/5 |

General Kudro of Drannith is a pretty interesting, and powerful, Human tribal lord that plays well in terms of a powerful hate engine. Humans can turn into pinpoint graveyard removal and board removal, and you can even sacrifice the General himself to use his kill effect. So long as you can keep the Humans coming, the General is a pretty powerful leader to all of them, and even the anthem effect alone helps a tribe that goes wide, but no protection means that his fall can take the entire house of cards out with him. Constructed: 3.75 (not sold yet on the Human deck, but Eldraine and Ikoria together is a pretty good start to something) |
