King of Lullaby Hello Pojo Fans, We’re back with Sacred Beasts for a second week, starting things off with the new Dark Beckoning Beast. Sacred Beasts searcher off the Normal Summon, this was something the deck seriously needed. Also having the ability to search a card that lists any Sacred Beasts gives you more flexibility to search new support cards within the archetype. This is another way to get to your Fallen Paradise and get that draw two that is so desirable, or to the new Raviel that can add as an OTK possibility for the original Raviel. Summoning a 0ATK/0DEF Fiend from your hand gets you another monster on board and can set up your Sacred Beast plays, as well as get you to a quick Link 2. Chaos Core can get your Sacred Beasts from the deck into the grave and keep itself on the field while summoning another Dark Beckoning Beast will net you another Sacred Beast card. Summoning Chaos Summoning Beast will get you an instant Sacred Beast (if in your hand) and can be used as a Fallen Paradise search when banished…that’d be a Sacred Beast and a Field Spell off one card, as you could search Chaos Summoning Beast off Dark Beckoning Beast. Other decks can play Dark Beckoning Beast for this second effect, namely Yubel as a way to get Yubel onto the field easier, and also as a surprise tech in D/D decks, but it is best used in Sacred Beasts. A great search card that also can combo out a Sacred Beast on your first turn with minimal effort if you have a Sacred Beast in your hand, now that is what the archetype should’ve had when first introduced. Crunch$G More Sacred Beast cards this week by starting off with a nice little consistency booster and a card to help get to cards that get to the Sacred Beasts: Dark Beckoning Beast. DBB is a Level 2 DARK Fiend with 0 ATK and DEF. Bad stats no matter what, but standard for monsters that aren’t the Sacred Beasts meant to work with them, but that Type and Attribute the monsters have is great. Upon this card being Normal Summoned, you can search for any of the Sacred Beasts or a card that specifically lists any of the Sacred Beasts in its text from Deck to hand. It’s a great way to get to your Beasts if you’re able to summon them properly, or get to the monsters that can cheat the Sacred Beasts out. If you already got your Sacred Beasts, then going for the support cards is a good option as well. You can’t search Dark Beckoning Beast itself, but that’s fine, and it’s also fine to be a hard once per turn effect. The second effect is something you can only gain once per turn where you can Normal Summon a Fiend with 0 ATK and DEF in addition to your Normal Summon or Set, which is good to Normal Summon your Chaos Core and Link this to Salamangreat Almiraj to trigger Chaos Core or instead summon Chaos Summoning Beast or Dark Summoning Beast to cheat out a Sacred Beast monster. It’s a useful effect that’s easy to make use of since this card can search monsters you can Normal Summon with it. It’s a key piece for Sacred Beasts and a must at 3. Advanced Rating: 4.25/5 Art: 4.5/5 I do like how some of the monsters in this archetype look like terrifying messes. |
Alex Searcy Sorry for missing the back half of last week but I’m here for another week of Sacred Beast support starting with Dark Beckoning Beast. Level 2, 0 attack and defense, but Dark and Fiend combo well together.
A Normal Summon of this gets you a Sacred Beast or support card specifically listing one/them from your Deck to your Hand. A free card is good and given this is obviously a combo card for them it’s all the better.
A Normal Summon also need you an extra Normal Summon or Set of a Fiend with 0 attack and defense. Another one of these comes in play but not for the first effect. Extra Deck plays as well as Links open here as well. Nice combo card and not just for Sacred Beasts.
Rating: 3.75/5
Art: 4/5 Nice art more in getting background and aura but cool looking Beast too
