Elder Entity N’tss
– #CT14-EN009
1 Synchro Monster + 1 Xyz Monster
Must be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by sending the above cards you control to the GY. (You do not use “Polymerization”.) Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 monster from your hand. If this card is sent to the GY: You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it. You can only Special Summon “Elder Entity N’tss(s)” once per turn.

King of Lullaby Hello Pojo Fans, Elder Entity N’tss for how easy it can be to summon, seems to only see play as a target to mill from the Extra Deck. No Poly needed, a Synchro and an Xyz, which at this point in the game isn’t too hard to come by, considering turns can last 10 minutes with six monsters (most of them negates) can be made with the player maintaining an okay card amount in hand…wow. Level 4 Special Summon from the hand works with nearly all decks in the game, so benefit to those archetypes because N’tss is an extender. An extra monster on the field makes it so you can Link or Xyz with N’tss and that monster for something better, though regarding Link Monsters unless you have more than just the Level 4 and N’tss you wouldn’t wanna trade her for something smaller, 2500ATK is still 2500ATK. The 1-for-1 N’tss gives when sent to the grave is what makes her so appealing to run in an Extra Deck. There are many effects out there that mill from the Extra Deck, or can use monsters in the Extra Deck for effect(s) and that 1-for-1 can eat up a negation or get rid of something. Players used to love summoning Zaborg the Mega Monarch (now it’s a card we’re reviewing later in the week) and sending this to the grave, giving you fodder for chaos monsters or merely adding a big monster to your grave to bring back later. N’tss had endured and remains a good monster for the Extra Deck if your strategy involves your Extra Deck that way. Still won’t be used as intended, but how many monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh can say that? Crunch$G Throwback Thursday is a card that has gained more usefulness with the release of Dogmatika, and the Elder Entity Fusion that is actually balanced and not banned: Elder Entity N’tss. N’tss is a Level 4 LIGHT Fairy Fusion with 2500 ATK and 1200 DEF. Pretty solid stats on a Level 4, LIGHT is a great Attribute and Fairy is a fun type. Now let’s get over the non-Dogmatika stuff first. The Fusion Materials for this is any Synchro and any Xyz and must be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck by banishing the above Fusion Materials you control, where you do not use Polymerization. That’s the only way it can be summoned and the materials are quite costly, but in return you get an effect to Special Summon any Level 4 monster from the hand once per turn, likely allowing for some interesting combos, so everything is fine in the right line of plays, but use it wisely here since you can only Special Summon it once per turn. The Dogmatika related effect is if this card is sent to the graveyard from anywhere, you can target and destroy a card on the field. No once per turn meaning you can double dump this with Maximus to get 2 pops, which overall is pretty good. Punishment is the only way to pull this off on the opponent’s turn, but sending it on your turn with Nadir Servant or Dogmatika Maximus is good enough on your turn. It’s pretty useful in Dogmatika and it’s useful in Ritual Decks using Mega Zaborg to dump 3 of this and 3 Herald of the Arc Light for insane advantage and outside it I’m sure you can find some crazy combos using its other effects on the internet elsewhere. At least it’s more balanced than Norden. Advanced Rating: 4/5 Art: 4.5/5 She’s pretty nice overall, almost close to the Dogmatika artwork theming in my opinion. |
Alex Searcy Elder Entity N’tss gets Throwback Thursday honors this week. Light, Level 4, Fairy, all good to start, with a nice 2500 attack on a Level 4 (and a meh 1200 defense). Fusion requirements here are generically specific requiring any one Synchro and XYZ Monster. So it has to be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck using the above cards BUT you don’t have to use Polymerization. ANY time you get to Fuse and don’t have to use Poly or any other Fusion card to do so is all ready a big win for the player. Which also means this card can be run probably anywhere that runs an Extra Deck containing Synchro and XYZ Monsters, another benefit. Once per turn, you’re able to Special Summon a Level 4 Monster from your Hand. Which fits this theme amazingly, as if you’re constantly finding yourself turn by turn locked out from your Extra Deck, Special Summons from elsewhere become critical. If this card goes to the Graveyard (with the lovely opening as it can be by anyone, in any manner) you get free Targeted destruction of any one card on the Field. You can only Special Summon one of these a turn. This is a gem in our Theme this week, but good most anywhere else, as well. Rating: 5/5 Dogmatika, but still 4/5 elsewhere for a 4.5/5 average Art: So pretty, you’d think Water given all the waves, but this is a wonderful picture to look at. 5/5 |
