If an Equip Card becomes equipped to a monster on the field, even during the Damage Step: You can destroy 1 card on the field. During the End Phase: You can equip 1 Equip Spell from your hand or GY to this card, then you can equip 1 FIRE Warrior monster from your Deck to this card as an Equip Spell that gives it 500 ATK. You can only use each effect of “Infernoble Knight Emperor Charles” once per turn.

King of Lullaby Hello Pojo Fans, Infernoble Knight Emperor Charles wraps up the week and is the highest level Synchro for the Infernoble Knights archetype. Needing at minimum two monsters, Charles benefits from Captain Ronald being a Level 5 Synchro Tuner and the Infernoble Knights having a few Level 4 monsters. Charles is the real reason the Infernoble Knight ability to become Equip Spells is a benefit. Equip any Equip Spell and Charles pops a card on the field. Once per turn yes, but even during the Damage Step you can activate this effect, not typically available for a destruction effect like this kind. Charles ability to thin your deck in the End Phase each turn as long as you equip it with an Equip Spell. The Infernoble Equip Spell cards are Ignition-like, so you won’t be benefiting from equipping them in the End Phase, but you can equip something like Noble Arms – Gallatin or Noble Arms of Destiny, or even Smoke Grenade of The Thief. The ATK boost Charles gets off the Infernoble Knight monsters equipping to him will make him a tough monster to beat via ATK, and the Main Deck Infernoble Knights offer great protection as equips. Charles can quickly off his own effect become a 4000ATK monster unable to be destroyed by battle or be targeted. Advanced-4/5 Art-4.5/5 Until Next Time |
Crunch$G We saw the Synchro Tuner and it was mainly a stepping stone to get to our new boss monster: Infernoble Knight Emperor Charles. Charles is a Level 9 FIRE Warrior Synchro with 3000 ATK and 200 DEF. Good ATK, DEF leaves Rekindling (though it isn’t worth it since it’s likely your only target), and it still has that good FIRE Warrior combo. Again, we got a generic Synchro of any Tuner and any non-Tuner(s), which could bring in for some use in other strategies maybe. The first effect if this becomes equipped with an Equip Card, even during the Damage Step, you can destroy a card on field. It’s great disruption or removal of the opponent’s resources or it helps abuse your own cards, namely Smoke Grenade of the Thief to rip the opponent’s hand apart and this might get Smoke Grenade banned after years of being ignored. The fact it works during the Damage Step might not come up too often, but it’s great to have that effect there. The only real use is probably Captain Roland maybe being equipped from grave during the opponent’s turn during Damage Step since it does affect stats. During the End Phase, you can equip any Equip Spell from grave to this card and then equip any FIRE Warrior from Deck to this card as an Equip Spell that boosts this by 500 ATK. Another way to equip Smoke Grenade to this for its first effect to pop, and on top of that you can equip an Infernoble from Deck to get its protection effect while also gaining a little boost to 3500 and beyond. Each effect is a hard once per turn, which is warranted on both effects here since they do combine overall for a good boss monster for Infernoble Knights. It could maybe find use in other Decks eventually, especially noting the second effect doesn’t have to equip a FIRE Warrior from Deck and can just reequip from grave, but for now Infernoble Knights are its home mainly. Advanced Rating: 4.25/5 Art: 5/5 He’s a pretty cool looking knight again, like the gear he has. |
Alex Searcy A much bigger Synchro closes out week, with Infernoble Knight, Emperor Charles. Level 9 (I hate Level 9s) Fire/Warrior, 3000 attack and 200 defense. I like more attack on my Level 9s but 3000 IS good. 1 Tuner and 1+ non-Tuners are required for a Synchro Summon here. So an Equip card being Equipped (by either player, to any Monster, any time) lets you destroy a card. Awesome. Very likely this is only being done by you, but with how fast this Theme can move, that can add up to lots of destruction for you, and very fast. You can automatically Equip an Equip Magic from your Hand or Grave onto this card during the End Phase (so that should be auto destruction at least once a turn for you) oh but wait, you can also Equip a Fire Warrior from your Deck to this to gain 500 attack. So now we’re at 3500 attack, and that’s double destruction during your End Phase. Very disruptive and destructive, great combos and cycling here. I don’t like the Level 9 and I hate the 200 defense, but very good overall here. Rating: 4/5 Art: 5/5 Wonderful suit, the cape is great, love the blue in his weaponry, and the near total blackout background makes this amazing artwork. |
