Much like Monday’s Card of the Day, Multiple Choice can be thought of as a conceptual variant of kicker where different payments get you different things. Though it doesn’t scale to unbounded heights like Crackle with Power does, it gives you a clear incentive to reach a value of 4 for X, and is reasonably useful at any of its costs. Flexibility is a good thing in any spell, and blue cards with a range of effects have often been successful in constructed (think of Cryptic Command), so I wouldn’t be surprised if Multiple Choice sees play too.

While Multiple Choice is at its strongest when X = 4, and it doesn’t get benefit from scaling higher, it’s still a number of nice modes that can give solid value. Card filtering on turn 2, a non-targeting bounce spell on turn 3, a 4/4 on turn 4, or all three the turn after. It’s playable before then, but it’s still strongest if you can wait it out. Overall, it’s not a bad bit piece in a solid color already with a nice and flexible color requirement, so I can’t not recommend it if you’re in those colors.
