Seems like I forgot another baseline Sylveon card, this time being in the Sun & Moon Forbidden Light expansion, and has been reviewed as the 9th best card of the set. This is another instance of me being totally biased that I didn’t put any regards to the rest of the card, so time for me to be realistic.
The only thing that caught my eye at the time is the first attack. Wink Wink costs a single energy and lets you look at your opponent’s hand. From there you get to discard a Supporter card that you find and use that effect of that Supporter card as the effect of that attack. It’s usefulness varies depending on what your opponent has at the time. While there might be incredible cards that you can benefit such as Professor Sycamore, N, Guzma, or Cynthia, there are other times where certain Supporter cards do nothing for you or even hinder you to some extent. I don’t think that Wink Wink is justifiable to use than Sylveon-GX’s Magical Ribbon, which can guarantee three cards of my choice. Wink Wink is unreliable that you may sometimes not find any Supporter cards.
Overall, Sylveon is meant to be used on the first few turns of the match thanks to Eevee’s Energy Evolution letting you evolve on the same turn it was played). Damage wise, it is extremely underwhelming.
