Silver dragons are traditionally good-aligned in D&D, but this particular card will probably make you the villain at a multiplayer or Commander table. The fact that you’re still limited by what you can cast on any given turn probably won’t win you much sympathy from the other players. I’m not sure there’s any other non-X spell which can result in you drawing this many cards naturally, and it’s also notable that this is the only one of Battle for Baldur’s Gate‘s ancient dragons which can single-handedly kill its controller – but conversely, it can also single-handedly win in combination with Laboratory Maniac.

The flying color gets the biggest dragon with the longest wings, and make no mistake: one swing with Ancient Silver Dragon will blow a game wide open. In addition to it being an 8/8 with flying, you can draw an obscene amount of cards, but it even offers (in the worst case scenario) a permanently unbounded hand size to go with it. Of course, this looks better if you can draw 20 cards with it, but seeing how blue likes to have a full clutch of cards, there’s advantage to be accrued even with a dinky roll. It’s expensive, but it’s very much the epitome of “kill me now you fools”, even if its only protection is evasion and its 8 toughness.
