Rainbow Bridge of Salvation – #MP22-EN270

If there are 2 or more different Monster Types among the Level 10 or higher monsters on the field: Shuffle all cards except this one from both players’ hands, fields, and GYs into the Deck, then each player draws 5 cards. You can banish this card from your GY; add 1 “Crystal Beast” monster and 1 Field Spell from your Deck to your hand. You can only apply each effect of “Rainbow Bridge of Salvation” once per Duel.

The last new card from the 2022 Tins to cover is here as we are about to head into reviewing new Crystal Beast cards, so here’s Rainbow Bridge of Salvation.

Rainbow Bridge of Salvation is a Normal Trap that on activation, if there are 2 or more different Monster Types among all the Level 10 or higher monsters on the field, you shuffle all cards besides this one from both hands, fields, and graveyards into the Deck and then make each player draw 5. I mean, in Crystal Beasts it doesn’t do much since Rainbow Dragon and all his pals are all Dragons, so unless you opt to play Hamon in the Deck, you’re relying on the opponent to provide the other Type with a Level 10+ monster. The main selling point to this card is the graveyard effect, letting you banish it from the graveyard to search for any Field Spell and any Crystal Beast monster, which is some nice searching. You’d need cards like Foolish Burial Goods to put it in grave, but getting 2 cards in return is pretty nice. It’s a once per Duel effect, so might as well just run 1 with the cards Crystal Beasts could run to dump it into the graveyard, cause you’ll never properly activate this in Crystal Beasts to be honest.

Advanced Rating: 2.5/5

Art: 5/5 This is a reference to the clash between Rainbow Dragon and Armityle the Chaos Phantasm, 2 Level 10 monsters with different Types, that sent Jaden and friends back to the regular world while Jesse and Yubel were both sent to the other dimension. The name references Jesse wanting to be a bridge between Duel Monster Spirits and humans.
