This card’s name becomes “Great Sand Sea – Gold Golgonda” while on the field or in the GY. Once per turn, if a card(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can send 1 Fusion Monster that mentions “Fallen of Albaz” as material from your Extra Deck to the GY, instead. During the End Phase, if you have “Fallen of Albaz” on your field or in your GY: You can Special Summon 1 “Springans” monster from your hand or Deck. You can only use this effect of “Decisive Battle of Golgonda” once per turn.

Decisive Battle of Golgonda starts the week and continues our travels through the Albaz story-line, which I love.
DBoG becomes “Great Sand Sea – Gold Golgonda” while on the field or in the graveyard. If it gained the effect(s) of that card it would help Springan Xyz monsters a lot, however, this text only helps activate this card from the grave with Springans Booty. 1-for-1 trade to prevent destruction of any of your card(s) by sending a Fusion that includes my boy “Fallen of Albaz” as part of the Fusion Materials. Giving up a Fusion Monster that will get you something in the End Phase of when it hits the grave, in addition to stopping a destruction effect or a losing battle is a +1 for you and a win in my book.
As with most Albaz/Branded cards, they specialize in getting a certain Archetype back in the End Phase, and DBoG isn’t any different. If you have Fallen of Albaz (or something that imitates Fallen of Albaz) in your grave or on the field, you can Special Summon a Springans monster from the Deck or your hand. The two best Springan monsters to summon would be Springans Kitt and Springans Rockey. Kitt can be summoned this way and get you a Branded Spell/Trap from anywhere, Springans Rockey can get you a Springan or Gold Golgonda to your hand. Otherwise, you can just get yourself a Springans body on the field, even an Xyz monster and start attaching Springans monsters from your hand to it as Xyz Materials.
Decisive Battle of Golgonda is more of a Springans card than an Albaz-helping card. There are more direct ways to send a Fusion Monster that has Albaz as material to the grave, but for Springans this is a good card to get to a Springan pretty easily.

We continue the lore of Albaz by looking at how others might be doing, starting with Albaz’s adventures in Golgonda with Decisive Battle of Golgonda.
Decisive Battle of Golgonda is a Continuous Spell that’s treated as Great Sand Sea – Gold Golgonda while on the field or in the graveyard, so nice for Springans. At least it’s not another Field Spell to conflict with the original Golgonda. First effect is a soft once per turn, letting you send a Fusion Monster that mentions Fallen of Albaz as material from the Extra Deck to the graveyard instead if a card(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect. Decent way to protect your cards, considering you’re most likely running this in Springans, you are probably sending Sprind the Irondash Dragon to get to a Springans monster or Fallen of Albaz from the Deck, though you could send Albion the Branded Dragon in a Branded Springans variant. The second effect is a hard once per turn and triggers in the End Phase if you got Fallen of Albaz on the field or in the graveyard, letting you summon any Springans monster from your Deck. A likely candidate is Captain Sargas so you can get his effect to make use of the Xyz Materials on your monsters for removal, especially with Gigantic “Champion” Sargas. Another option you might consider is Springans Rockey to recover a Springans card or your Great Sand Sea from the graveyard back to your hand. It being an End Phase summon is a little bit more limiting, but not by much, especially since it triggers at the end of the opponent’s turn as well, setting you up for an Xyz on your turn. It’s a fine card, mainly for the Springans archetype to give them some protection and a little consistency boost. For the other Fallen of Albaz archetypes, I honestly don’t know since the protection is all you’d really get, and I don’t think those Decks need a Continuous Spell that just does a little protection.
