Hello Pojo Fans,
Visas Amritara is the newest form of Starfrost and the end of the week card we’re reviewing.
Dark Magician stats with one Level higher than the card, Amritara is one of those Synchro Monsters that can use multiple Tuner monsters for its Synchro Summon, but also needs LIGHT monster(s) for the summon as well. “Visas Starfrost” Spell/Trap search upon its Synchro Summon, and Amritara himself is a Tuner, allowing for further synchro climbing (Prime-Heart is Level 10 and can use multiple Tuners as well). We’ve seen many of these Spell/Trap cards within various archetypes that fall under the storyline of Visas Starfrost (Tearlament, Kashtira, Scareclaw, etc). As a mostly generic Synchro Monster, Amritara can search out that specific archetype Spell/Trap for that archetype and that archetype can use Amritara (as long as they have that LIGHT monster(s) to use). For an archetype revolving around Visas himself, it’d be best to search the Mannadium or Peaceful Planet cards for either their generic nature to work alongside your regular Visas, this card who is treated as Visas, or the Mannadium archetype that is most likely to summon Amritara.
Pop a monster you control to boost all Synchro Monsters you have by 800ATK is a small ATK boost, but lines up with the Mannadium archetype’s desire to pop monster(s) to improve their advantage. Trading a Mannadium Tuner to activate its ability and boost all Synchro Monsters you have by 800ATK for the turn is a good effect, even if Amritara was your only Synchro. Within the other archetypes it fits into, it can trigger even more advantage for you as Tearlaments can Fusion Summon from the grave. Would have been nice to see that as a Quick Effect but it is restricted to your Main Phase.
Visas Amritara is a generic-like Synchro Monster that, while easy to summon, has just enough restrictions to prevent it from being completely splashable into the archetypes it is involved with. Great search ability if you can summon this in any of those archetypes, and many of them have grave abilities that this card can facilitate through a balanced pop ability.

We end the week off with Visas Starfrost evolving and becoming a Synchro Monster: Visas Amritara.
Visas Amritara is a Level 8 LIGHT Warrior Synchro Tuner with 2500 ATK and 2100 DEF. Pretty solid stats again for a Level 8, LIGHT and Warrior make for a nice combination, and being a Level 8 Tuner allows for interesting plays. Requirements to summon are any 1+ Tuners alongside any LIGHT monster, which is basically Mannadium as a whole. This card’s name becomes Visas Starfrost wihle on the field, which I’d expect since it’s still Visas technically. The remaining effects are hard once per turns, the first letting you search for any Spell or Trap that mentions Visas Starfrost from your Deck to your hand on Synchro Summon. It’s a good search effect we’ve seen in the past with cards like Denglong and Ib. You can easily get to some of your better Mannadium cards or the Visas lore Field Spells to support Scareclaw, Tearlament, and Mannadium (Kashtira’s Field Spell doesn’t mention Starfrost). The search alone is good, so the other effect is just a nice bonus, which lets you destroy a monster you control so all Synchro Monsters you control will gain 500 ATK for the turn, which is a fine boost, mainly you’ll trigger this to get the effect of a Mannadium Tuner, though. The search alone makes this a good card, and Mannadium doesn’t struggle to summon this at all. It also allows for Bishbalkin plays in Mannadium so you can make Crimson Dragon and go into King Calamity on the opponent’s turn if you choose that route. A good card to end the week.

Though not quite a boss, Visas Amritara closes the week as a new keystone card for the Mannadium archetype, a level 8 LIGHT Warrior Synchro Tuner monster. Like Mannadium Prime-Heart, its materials are unusually flexible to allow you to use multiple combinations of Visas Starfrost and Mannadium balls; you’ll need a LIGHT monster and any number of Tuners, so Visas Starfrost and a ball or Mannadium Riumheart and two balls (one after Age of Overlord thanks to another keystone card) can easily make it, and if you wanted to make Prime-Heart with it for some reason, it’ll only take one more Mannadium ball. Hilariously, in this form Visas now has classic protagonist ace monster stats of 2500 attack and 2100 defense, which are a bit underwhelming for a level 8 Synchro, but they’re more than fine considering Amritara is a Tuner, and it probably won’t stick around too long anyway.
As you might expect, Amritara takes Visas’s name on the field, making all of its associated bonus effects live. That brings us to its first hard once per turn effect that triggers on Synchro Summon, searching any Spell or Trap that mentions Visas Starfrost. If you know anything about Visas lore, you’ll realize that virtually every Spell and Trap in the lore mentions Visas Starfrost, so you can grab pretty much every Scareclaw, Tearlaments, or Mannadium backrow and some of the Kashtira backrow as well. Most of the time you’ll search Mannadium Reframing if you don’t have it yet as one of the archetype’s strongest disruptions, though you can search anything that fits the situation, like Scareclaw Arrival for an extender (if you used Scareclaw Reichheart) or even Primeval Planet Perlereino for an additional search for Visas Starfrost. Amritara’s other effect is also a hard once per turn, letting you destroy any monster you control to boost the attack of all of your Synchro monsters by 800 for the turn. The main part is to trigger your Mannadium effects and gaining immediate mileage out of New World – Amritara if you searched it, though in a jam it can help OTK. Both effects are great, but naturally the search effect is much stronger, and goes a long way in boosting Mannadium’s combo lines.
