Hey Scott,

Can a Giovanni's Magikarp evolve into a Misty's Gyrados. I was playing at the
Pokemon League and my opponent trtied this and I told him that Misty's
Gyrados evolves from Misty's Magikarp only. Well after alot of arguing the
judge agreed with him. So can you please reply so that i can prove to the
judge that I was right.

You are right.  Pokemon from the Gym Leader Series must evolve to and from that particular trainer's Pokemon.  So you are correct - Giovanni's karp can not go into Misty's Gyarados.
