Hey Scott,

    I was wondering if Ancient Mew would be playable if you just put another
card behind it to cover up the background. I don't want to spend the money
on new sleeves just for 4 cards in my deck. Please answer this and tell me
if it is OK to cover it up with another card.

No way.  Putting 2 cards in a single sleeve alters the thickness of the sleeve greatly, making the card what would be considered "marked".  The fact that Ancient Mew is even playable is, In My Opinion, silly.  But, at least WotC did do the right thing by requiring opaque sleeves.
