Stantler is a sub-par basic
colorless Pokemon. It's Jungle Tauros but without all the
combos. I really can't give you a better description than that.
Standard: I give it a 2/5, considering it
can do up to 30 first turn and confuse third turn. Meh.
Modified: 1.5/5. You'd be better off
putting 2 or 3 energy on something better.
Limited: In limited, there's a shortage of
good Haymaker types, and this one can substitute fairly well.
3/5 |

Stantler? Stantler? That
thing with the horns? Does anyone use him in a deck? Well, stay
tuned. If you are 15+, you just might...
Standard: Eh. Nothing special. His HP fall
short of the magical 70 and there is nothing extra in his attack
to make him interesting. Plus, he requires a lot of energy.
1.5/5
Modified: Still nothing worth putting into
a deck. He offers nothing that other Pokemon don't do better and
for less.
1.6/5
Draft: Hmmm. Well now. 60 HP is decent for
a Draft Basic. The attacks are a bit costly, but you do get a
chance at Confusion, which is always good in Draft. And he's
colorless, which means that he is splashable. A safe pick for
your deck.
3/5
Now, why do I say that if you are 15+ you
might use it? Because WotC just announced that you will have to
be able to Rochester Draft if you want to win any of the
Professor free trips to the World Championship! Break out those
boosters! |

Stantler... which should just be
called "Tauros on a bad day." It actually IS just like
tauros, except for the second attack. It's really disturbing to
look at though... HONESTLY. I think this card is crap... it
could be good in no rares or draft, but not in any of the major
formats.
Standard ~ 2/5
Modified ~ 2.5/5 - Basics that
are strong are needed more here, but would you call this dude
strong?
Draft ~ 4/5 - GREAT card here. =) |
