See yesterday's rant about
Jungle-not-Dark.
In unlimited, Flareon was(back in the day),
compared to Arcanine and Ninetales. However, it lost the battle,
and spent the rest of it's time in binders a newbie decks. It
stays there today. 1.9/5
In modified, it has another chance to prove
itself. However, I don't think it's big enough for Big Fire(boy,
what a creative archetype name, isn't it?), or fast enough to go
solo. Once again, it gets rocked by Arcanine, Ninetales, and --
this time around -- Magcargo. Can't win them all. 2/5 In limited,
if you can't find Arcanine, this makes for a pretty bad
substitute. It's rare, meaning unlikely to get more than 1, it's
HP is lower, it's attack costs more(or the same, but does less
damage), and it's just pretty lame overall. 2.5/5

Thursday: Flareon
This guy
is decent, but expensive. HP is doable. Quick attack, again, nice.
Flamethrower is decent as it does 60, but would be better at the
magic number of 70. I don't think 4 energy is very cheap. Weak to
water, which is somewhat not a big deal anymore. Retreat of 1.
Decent card.

Thursday: Flareon
flareon cant do much in standard with so
much ER and SER. Another quick attack -_-. 1 in retreat is normal.
=\
Fire is good in Modified but there are
better choices like Ninetails or Magcargo. Flareon/Typhosion could
be a good deck in Modified. Again 70 HP is low for MF. As for
Draft it can do 60 a turn very powerfull.=/
Standard 2/5
Modified 2.8/5
Draft 3/5

Flareon
This card is a lot like Jolteon. A 70 HP stage 1 with Quick
Attack and a decent 2nd attack. The thing I remember most
about this card is when I was playing in a tournament, Ness stuck
this on the top of my deck. I drew it and I was like !!!!!!
=P. Flame Thrower is cool because it gets the OHKO on Sneasel, but
Removal is too much for this guy. 3/5
In Modified, it's bad. If you're going to play fire in
Modified, stick with Magcargo, Arcanine, Typhlosian, and Ninetails.
2/5
In draft, this thing can be a beast if it gets going. 60
damage will KO most things fast. Just watch out for water.
3.5/5

Flareon - Much less of a card then
it's relative Jolteon. Same first attack, as do all of the
jungle eeveelutions. It's second attack isn't all too
great costing 4 energy. It can take a DCE in addition to
it's double colored cost but still, it is a weak pokemon when it
stands up to fire. I would rather play Arcanine, Magcargo,
Ninetails, Blaine's Arcanine, Entei, and Typhlosion as a fire
pokemon.
Unlimited: 1/5
Modified: 3/5
Draft: 3/5
Vaporeon - An even weaker relative
to Jolteon and Flareon. In unlimited it dies to Rocket's
Zapdos and Electabuzz. Modified see's play of much better
water pokemon.. Dark Blastoise, Kingdra, Feraligator. It's
attack does 30 for WW1, 40 for WWW1, 50 for WWWW1. A very
weak form of water gun.
Unlimited: 1/5
Modified: 1/5
Draft: 2/5
