This card hasn't gotten the
attention it deserves. I've seen it work.
In unlimited, it's turn 2 with the only good
Pikachu, --The Movie one-- and the attacks are pretty good. It's
usable, but most stuff is. 2.5/5
In modified, it still has the same speed,
not quite as fast as Dark Raichu which can be searched out with
The Boss's way, but it does more brute damage/status. On the other
hand, Dark Raichu can use Dark Energy and Rocket's Hideout. Tough
choice. I like this one because it has less flips.
You can do 80 or 40, your choice, not the
coin's. And a 20 damage Thundershock and 80 HP is nothing to sneer
at. 3/5
In limited, there's no Pikachu in Neo 3. If
you draft it with Neo Genesis, or with any other
Pikachu-Having-Set, I probably wouldn't take it. There's just not
enough Electric Pokemon to draft, because most are rares. And
plus, it's really a monocolor sort of card. Not draft friendly.

I love this
card... and it's one of TR_Cassidy's favorites! =) Raichu is
solid... and combos well with other cards in modified.
First attack is
decent... and with a status effect, very strong in Modified...
definitely not in standard. Second attack is nice.

Thursday: Raichu
TRC had a very original Raichu deck at the
Indianapolis QT last year. 80 HP is decent for a stage 1.
Thundarshock is average 2 for 20 and chance of para. lightning
Strike is nice 3 L for 40. The ability to do 80 is awesome. In
Standard it gets ER/SERed while being tyrogued.
It doesn't cut it in Modified only doing 40
per turn. It just gets Rogued here.

Raichu - I don't think this card is
too good. Doing 20 damage and chance of paralysis for 1L is
decent, but not entirely fast or effective. For LLL he does 40,
but may discard all L to do 80. If you do discard, it takes a bit
to power him back up. If you don't discard then the attack isnt
too efficiant. 80/1 is nice bottom stats. In standerd entirely too
slow. In modified a bit better but throwing 3 Energy to do 80 is
not anywhere near as good as throwing 1 energy to do 80 a turn
earlier with ninetails. In draft it might be usable. 40 is good
damage in modified and 80 makes for a nice final ko or time limit
based ko.
