Ninjask - Could this be the new Jungle Scyther that we have been looking for? Lets take a look 70 HP? Yup. Swords Dance? Yup. Free retreat? Yup. Basic? No. Fighting Resistance? No. But look at its Poke-Body- Fast Protection prevents all effects, including damage done to Ninjask by your opponents attack from his or her Basic Pokemon. So in effect Jungle Scyther cant touch this thing. However you still have to evolve from a lowly basic named Nincada. Unlimited: 4/5 – With the abundance of basics and babies Ninjask could really wreck havoc here. The Lightning weakness would be a huge factor because of Buzz but Fast Protection will take care of basic Pokemon attacks. I haven’t even touched upon Swords Dance. 1 for 30 Slash is nice enough but Swords dance Slash up to 80 next turn and you have a powerhouse able to ko most all of the non-ex basics in Unlimited. A nice combo with this card here is Jungle Aeordactyl to shut off their evolutions. Modified: 3/5 – More evolutions in this format but again a 1 for 30 attack and possible 80 is nothing to laugh at. Another counter to the all popular Magma deck. Ninjask would be a great secondary attacker for any deck. Limited: 5/5 – Yes you need to go through Nincada but with all the basic Deoxys and ex’s running around and an overall undercosted attack that is colorless to boot. I think I’ll give it a perfect rating here.
