Rocket’s Admin. is a very commonly used
trainer (as well as a card that has been my favorite
card for a long time). What is it that makes it so good?
It allows the user to refresh a bad hand
(If you have a hand with nothing playable in it, you can
use an Admin. and, you will probably end up with a
better hand). It allows the user to increase hand size
(sometimes). It allows the user to disrupt/alter the
contents of the opponent’s hand. If your opponent has
one or two prizes left, this can really limit your
opponent’s options (as he/she now only has one or two
cards). If your opponent has arranged the cards in
his/her deck in a specific order, (i.e. Pokedex909,
“Smooth Over”) forcing your opponent to shuffle his/her
deck can spoil your opponent’s strategy.
The scenarios in which the use of a
Rocket’s Admin. can be beneficial are many. In RS-on
Modified and HL-on Modified, this card was used in
nearly all competitive decks. Even just one copy of this
card in your deck can prove very useful. The only time
this card can be bad is when you only have one prize
left, but even then, this card can help.
Unlimited: Plenty of use here. No discard
required. No flipping required. No restrictive clauses
(except supporter rule). The most playable supporter in
Unlimited. 4.9/5
Modified: Today is the last day of HL-on
Modified. Make use of it! 4.9/5
DX-on: If it existed in DX-on, it would
be just as helpful as in the past two Modified formats.
