Jason Klaczynski "Ness" 2006 World Champion	Pinsir d: Modified: While Delta Call is a great attack to get set up in modified, it works best in decks that rely primarily on delta Pokemon, in which case Holon's Castform will be a better starter anyway. Armor is actually a decent Poke-Body in this format, since so many decks draw into large hands using Holon's Castform. Fighting type also allows a one hit KO on Holon's Castform, but for three energy, this isn't necessarily impressive. Modified: 4/5 Unlimited: Cleffa's baby rule will always make it a superior starting Pokemon, regardless of the synergy Pinsir (or any other Pokemon) have with your deck. Unlimited: 1.5/5 Limited: A great Pokemon to develop those evolutions you usually have trouble drawing into. Opening with it will give you a game-winning advantage. Limited: 5/5
Alex "Chuck" Brosseau 5th place Worlds 2006 (Also current "best looking player")	Pinsir d Pinsir d is pretty BAD actually. Its Poke-Body is not only easily played around, but bad even if you DON'T. Delta Call is a sub-par attack, and Guillotine is weak and overpriced. Unlimited: 1/5 Serves no purpose here. Modified: 1.5/5 Delta Call may be useful for setting up in Delta based decks, but Mawile seems better for this, as you can just grab the Mentor. Limited: 3/5 The Poke-Body is still terrible here, but Delta Call is pretty useful. Any search in Limited is good.
William Hung	My reviews and ratings are for Modified only. Pinsir delta Modified 2/5 - On the paper, this guy is tough to KO, but it's still a two-hit KO, and you probably won't set up as fast as let's say...Luvdisc. I haven't playtested this Pokemon, so I am basing it on the current Trainer engines and theory. Like you could use Luvdisc to get all the Basics, then Celio's or Holon Researcher to get your evolutions. Nevertheless, Holon Mentor and Pinsir delta in a delta deck have some potential, so test it out and see if you like it.
