Sableye CG
Modified 2/5 - I don't think there's anything besides Magcargo
that can take full advantage of this card yet. Nevertheless, its
Poke-Power looks promising. Anything Pokemon that can somewhat
manipulate discard piles, like Dragonite d, can make it somewhat
worthwhile.

Sableye from Ex Crystal Guardians.
I don't like this card at all. It just doesn't do enough
to be useful.

Today’s Card Of The Day is…Sableye from Crystal
Guardians. This is one of those cards that separates the
elite from the “noobs”. It doesn’t make the greatest
starter, and it’s not a heavy hitter, but it can be very
useful. This card can be splashed into any deck, and can
be very crafty if used correctly. His power “Excavate”
lets you look at the top card in your deck and discard
it if you like. “How is this useful?” Delcatty ex or
similar cards that use the discard pile to help
calculate damage will benefit from this card. His attack
is also a mid to late game threat. Disable lets you do
damage and prevent 1 attack of your choice from you
opponents active. To my knowledge, this is the only
disable that does damage. The ability to limit you
opponent’s attacks mid to late game can let you build
your bench, or stop your opponents all together (if they
only have 1 attack).
Combos: Works well with any pokemon or trainer that
makes use of the discard pile Delcatty Ex (CG), or
Omastar (LM)
Modified: 3/5 Do not overlook or underestimate.
Limited: 4/5 No weakness, a good HP plus the ability to
disable, makes this guy last a long time.
Current ebay Value: $2.00 (plus or minus $.75 cent)

Sableye CG
Not a bad card, excavate has a lot of abilities in terms
of deck thinning and allows you to control a little more
of your game. Possibly he could be used in decks that
like discard, I'm thinking Metanite possibly. Apart from
that he's a possible card in Mewtric as his attack can
stop Pokémon with one attack right in their tracks (Charizard
d, Metagross d) however most have 2 or more. Has
potentially and could make it into several decks,
however the decks that use him won't be great in number.
