Swalot CG
Modified 2/5 - I look at this card, and I can't help comparing
it tot Ariados. However, its Reactive Posion attack costs 3
Energies, 1 Grass and 2 Colorless. In addition, you cannot
manipulate your opponent's Bench, like Ariados can. Finally, 80
HP is not that big a difference to 70 HP.
I say that even though in the long run you can deal slightly
more damage with Swalot CG (such as 90 for 3 Energies), you're
much better off with Ariados that can deal slightly less damage
with 1 Grass Energy.
Don't forget, if you choose Swalot CG, Double Rainbow is almost
mandatory, reducing your overall attack damage.

Today’s Card Of The Day is…Swalot from Crystal
Guardians. The poor-mans Flaridos. Of course it has a
higher hp than Aridos, and it can inflict all of the
status conditions in the game, but its reactive poison
has been watered down with a higher energy cost. Aridos
appeal is the ability to control the bench. Also Psychic
weakness is not a good weakness to have right now with
all the purple threat out and coming in future sets.
Maybe for fun in a draft, but leave this guy in the
binder.
Combos: Self-supportive, but he works well with anyone
who can cause status conditions, Flareon ex, or
Dunsparce for a quick 70 damage
Modified: 2/5 Bad weakness and expensive attacks is not
a good combination.
Limited: 4/5 if he lasts long enough he can cause major
damage
Current ebay Value: $2.00 (plus or minus $.75 cent)
