Metagross DX:
Unlimited 1/5: 2 for a potential 70 isn't special in
unlimited. sorry.
Modified 4/5: This card is excellent in Modified. Fits in
MetaDrag , has a whole DECK built around it (MSN). This card
deserves a 4/5
Limited 4/5: 100HP , excellent Pokepower to charge your
other pokemon. Definitely 100% awesome.

4/4 Metagross DX
This is one of my favorite cards in the current format.
It's just so versatile. The cost of 1 damage counter for
energy acceleration from the discard is more than cheap.
Also, if you bring back a metal energy onto a metal
Pokemon, you essentially nullify that damage counter if
you are attacked.
It's a core part of MSN, but it can do so much more than
power a Steelix ex. It also powers a Lati@s* in 1 turn
if you have 2 out, or basically any other Pokemon if you
use Holon Pokemon. It has no restrictions on what type
of Pokemon you can attach it to (besides being active of
course), compared to Flygon d and Altaria ex d. It also
works wonders with yesterday's card, Scizor ex.
Enough about other Pokemon. What about its own attack? 2
for 70 is just awesome. The only problem for Metagross
is Pokemon that have no energy or 1 energy attached.
Meeting 2, 3, or even 4 energies is not hard at all, if
you have another Metagross out. Metagross is a great
response to an opponent's threat after you lose your
active since it can power itself up in no time.
In summary, Metagross can do just about evreything:
support, energy acceleration, attack, counter.

Metagross:
Metagross is the driving force behind Scizorgross,
MSN(BC) and used in some Metanite builds. The damage
does build up but equipping energies to your pokemon
quickly and efficently is a force to be reckoned with.
Of course, the card is not splashable because it must be
defended with cards such as windstorm. The attack and
retreat cost is not so good however.
