Empoleon LvX :
Unlimited: A stage 3 in unlimited is incredibly hard
to get.and with the specific water energies needed to attack
Double Colorless doesn't help you at all. For these specific
reasons this card will never be good in Unlimited Format.
1/5
Modified: His understages spread damage so his bench hitting
attacks are good. With a nice power he has many good combos.
3/5
Limited: There is like a 1% chance of getting him out. 1/5
Koopa-Troopa
Empoleon Lvl.X: A
great card that is in the wrong format. With the
electric decks sneaking around it can't shine in the
current format. The best combo is with Vaporeon ex to
give your opponent a nice two card hand. But then next
format all the eeveelution will be gone so he can't
shine then either. But its still a great card. 3.5/5

Hey Everyone its
Thursday and were back to Reviewing Pokemon for Now in
our Card of the day Sections. To Close off the week well
be looking at the last two new Level X pokemon since to
this point we’ve only done one. Today’s Pokemon is
Empoleon Level X, Empoleon is the final Form of Piplup
my favorite Starter from the new Series but then again I
almost always prefer the water Starter over all others
but enough about that lets get to Reviewing this Level X
Pokemon.
To Start off Empoleon Level X is a Water type with a
plus 30 Weakness to Electric, a Retreat Cost of 2
Colorless, and 140 Hp Which isn’t bad I guess given he’s
an “Evolution” of a Final Form Pokemon that cant use
Evolution aiding Trainers. His Poke Body basically takes
away 2 cards from your opponents Hand untill the end of
there next turn which could be a HUGE help in keeping
this big Bird alive and well. His Attack Hydro Impact
cost 3 Water energy and deals 80 damage regardless of
weakness or resistance to anyone of your opponents
pokemon you get the choice here but this comes with a
downside as Empoleon cant attack during your next turn
So you better take out something to make that spent turn
worth it. If he was limited to these powers and these
powers only id give him a 2 out of 5 but remember Level
X can Use the powers of there previous form so it looks
Like Empoleon will be a Bench Sweeper for now. If you
want a Water deck that can take out pokemon before they
become a threat then Empoleon might be your answer.
Unlimited: 3/5 With the help of Pokemon Breeder you
might just get this guy out, course youd have to get the
basic Empoleon out with Breeder but that’s what its for
right?
Modified: 4/5 With a total of 2 Bench hitting attacks on
his Side he looks like he could be a Powerfu8l bench
sweeper picking off threats before they can materialize.
Limited: 4/5 Speed is an Issue here But if you Draft all
the things needed to make him happen then try it out
you’ll probably score a few prizes by picking off the
bench not to mention he does counter Infernape who seems
to be the most popular here.
