Mothim Lv.39 SW
Hope you’ve all had a nice week so far. =D Today’s
COTD is one that is underestimated as far as I see
it. First off, its first attack is O.K. a nice setup
it you know your going to be OHKOed and have no
energies on it but have one on the bench that is
ready to go. The second attack is nice, 40 damage
for 2 (g) 1 (c) isn’t good, but 70 for the same
amount is great. It’s not that hard to get the 70
for (g) and (c), all you have to do is put some
damage on it, Unknown P? The weakness isn’t bad as
any fire pokemon that would attack this thing will
most likely OHKO it anyway. The resistance is great
with Mario running around everywhere (The deck, not
the man.) Free retreat is also nice as he can attack
or run if it’s not safe (Or even retreat to a
unenergied Mothim to let it use its first attack.)
What makes this card truly unique though is the fact
that this one pokemon can evolve from three
different basics! No other pokemon in the game of
pokemon (Either cards or video game) has ever been
able to do such a thing. You could easily put three
Burmy sand cloak and four Burmy grass cloak to make
a deck with Mothim, Wormadam plant cloak, and
Wormadam sand cloak! Add a few Unknown P and you’ve
got yourself a decent deck.
Pros –
70 for 1 (g) and 1 (c)
Stage 1
Can evolve from three different pokemon!
Free retreat
Good resistance
The first attack is great
Cons –
Low HP
Low HP basics
The Wormadams aren’t all that great
Can be OHKOed by the ‘Super Ash Compiler’ Infernape
(And a lot more)
Bad weakness
Unlimited – Sneasle beats all!!! (You may take out
the B if you wish. =P) 1/5
Modified – I have yet to see someone try and use
these, but I know it’s coming 4/5
Limited – Damage? Easy to get a little. Basics? Easy
to get with three it can evolve from 4.75/5
WOW!!! That is a lot of pros and cons! Have a nice
Thanksgiving!!!
