Porygon-Z
Unlimited - Crud. 1/5
Modified - The obvious combo with this Pokemon is Lake
Boundary. Convert to the type the Defending Pokemon is weak
to, use Tri Attack, and you'll probably do either 80 or 160
damage. It's a little risky since 80 isn't a huge amount of
damage, but 160 would OHKO just about anything in the game.
Use Night Maintenance to recover basic energy that you
previously discarded. Weakness to Gallade ain't too hot. 3/5
Limited - Good luck getting out a stage 2. Make sure to use
plenty of different types of basic energy so you can easily
OHKO the defending Pokemon. 2/5 |

Hey there, today we have Porygon-Z, the newest evolution
in the Porygon line, now making it a Stage 2 line.
Name: Porygon-Z Lv. 54
Set: Great Encounters
Rarity: Rare Holo
Analysis: Porygon-Z is a colorless Stage 2 Pokemon with
110 HP. The HP is not bad but not great for a stage 2,
but the +30 weakness to fighting kills it against
Gallade. Its power is intriguing, putting it in the
category with other rainbow Pokemon, such as Garchomp
and Ho-Oh. Unfortunately, the attack is unreliable,
though cheap. It could see some play, especially
incorporated with Lake Boundary, but that would also
mean Gallade would not have to flip a prize to knock it
out. So yeah, it is really risky and unreliable to play
this. Garchomp is probably the better of the Stage 2
rainbow Pokemon, especially since it has 20 more HP, has
a better weakness, needs no coin flips to do damage, and
doesn't need to discard its energies. It does have a
nice stage 1, though, in Porygon2, which allows you to
discard a supporter and use its effect as the effect of
its Poke-Power.
Unlimited: Not even very good in Modified, so in the
format of much better cards,... (1/5)
Modified: Too risky and unreliable to use here. Unless
you have rigged dice or coins... Then go ahead! (2.5/5)
Limited: As difficult as it is to get a Stage 2 line
here, I would say that this one isn't really worth it
even if you get the line. But you can always get lucky,
plus the attack is colorless, cheap, and potentially
huge, so... (3.5/5)

Porygon Z
This
is an interesting card if you can get you energys any
poke (nearly) is weakness to this. With the lake this
becomes interesting as 1 head or more (87.5% of the
time) will deal 80 and alot of the is 160 damagde OUCH!!
An obvious combo is magneton to get the rigth energy
when you need it. Sadly its hp lets it down and it does
not go well with disruption (except its lv which is
cooool)
It is
a flip card and that makes it much harder to use..
Classic: 2 the level x may make it playable
Modified: 2.5 (flippy)
Limited: 2

Hey there people. Sorry for lack of COTD Monday and
Tuesday, I was bedridden sick with coughing and
fever and whatnot. Anyway, today’s COTD is one that
a ton of people will try even with the obvious +30
weakness to Gallade. Not only can this pokemon
change type to match an opponent’s weakness (As long
as you can discard the right basic energy.) But also
can do a possible gigantic 120 for two energies. Add
that is with its power and Lake Boundary and you get
a possible 240 total damage. Not even Wailord can
stand up to that. Wrap all of this on an
evolutionary line that can do plenty even without
evolving.
Pros –
Possible 240 for 2 energies!
Evolution line rocks
Cons –
Weakness to Gallade makes Porygon cry.
Unlimited – Stage 2’s here? Why? 1.25/5
Modified – Weaknessless pokemon are the only thing
that can stop this OHKO machine. 4.5/5
Limited – Cololess + Good attack = Play it! 4/5
Here is hoping the month passes by quickly so we can
all play Brawl!
