OK, this is the second Rotom we have to review…and this
is the WORTHLESS one.
Seriously, trade this thing for a pile of magic beans.
90 HP basic that can flip from Lightning to water type,
OK, cute.
0 energy attack that removes 3 damage from each of your
benched Pokemon. Isn’t there a Nidoqueen that has that
as a Body at this point???
2 energy attack that does no more than 30, and flips
allowing you to discard.
Add to that a 2 retreat cost.
Not good. At all.

Limited 2/5 Not even sure if I would “rare draft” it if
there were prizes on the line.
That bad.

Wash Rotom
Today, Rotom becomes . . . a washing machine! Very
useful for doing the laundry, but can it make a splash
in the TCG?
PokePower: Wash shift
Being able to turn into a Water type can be very useful
these days with infernape being played. Allows you to
add extra damage to your attacks against fire decks.
Attack: Cleanse Away
Being able to remove 3 damage counters from each of your
benched Pokémon can be a real bonus, especially if you
are facing a spread deck. This is more useful mid-late
game, though, and the 2 Energy requirement and use of an
attack is a lot of investment at this stage.
Attack: Drain Wash
30 damage for 2 Energy is mediocre at best. The effect
of being able to discard cards from the opponent’s hand
can be incredibly annoying if you keep flipping heads,
though if they have Claydol out, your opponent can
usually recover.
Overall it is not a bad card but not great either with
very little damage output and a horrible 2 retreat cost
which lets this card down.

Modified: 2 (one of the better Rotoms, but hurt by low
damage output)

useful)
