Gogoat
(XY)
Hello and welcome to another week of reviews here on
Pojo’s
CotD. Flashfire is
just around the corner, but we still have some XY stuff
to look at. We kick off the week with Gogoat, the
Pokémon that you can ride around the ultra confusing
sprawl of Lumiose City. It’s
a fun gimmick but I doubt anyone uses it much.
You could say the same about today’s
card as well (the part about not using it much, that
is). The main thing it has to offer is Lead, an attack
which puts up to two Supporters in your hand from your
deck. This may sound good in a format where we are so
dependent on Supporter draw, but the fact is that it is
much too slow to be of any use: evolving into a Stage 1
and using an attack to grab your Supporter for next turn
just isn’t good enough and far inferior to using
Jirachi EX, a Basic which
gets you what you need right now.
There’s not much else to recommend
Gogoat: the HP and second attack are mediocre and
the retreat cost of two would be a pain for anyone
trying to use the card to help them set up. Not that
anyone would, of course.
Rating
Modified: 1.75 (a rubbish Jirachi
EX)
Limited: 3 (more solid here, especially if you pull some
Supporters)
