Floral Crown
(Generations RC26/RC32) is a Pokémon Tool which,
at the end of your opponent’s turn, heals 20
damage from the Basic Pokémon to which it is
attached. The bold text is to draw
attention to why this card is only good if you want to
make your Pokémon look prettier if you have a vivid
imagination. Right now the game is about hitting
hard and fast. Soaking damage, either with
increased HP or protective effects, is far preferable to
healing. Still Floral Crown might have some
use. Being restricted to Basic Pokémon shrinks its
potential niche, but the big thing is that instead of
triggering between turns it only triggers at the end of
your opponent’s turn. This means it can’t even be
as nice as one would hope for Basics that inflict
self-damage.
Don’t bother with this for Standard or Expanded.
If you are fortunate enough to find a Limited Format
event using Generations, then this finally
becomes a good card. Damage output tends to be
slower here so healing 20 at the end of your opponent’s
turn might actually happen before the Pokémon equipped
with Floral Crown can be KO'd or discarded.
It might even get to trigger multiple times.

Summary:
Floral Crown is a brain new Pokémon Tool and I
wanted something that didn’t take as much time in case
the previous two reviews took longer than anticipated.
Plus I was finishing up my taxes yesterday. So in
that respect Floral Crown has served its purpose.
