Kabuto's Corner
Bash #1
I'd first like to say that I dislike doing bashes. It seems almost hypocritical to
ask people to send decks for me to help them with and then "bash" them. However,
I clearly stated in request # nine in my garage that I don't want to get decks like
this. Any offense taken or murderous rampages caused
by this are not inteded. Also, since this is Kabuto's first bash, please cut him
some slack. With that aside, I hand this deck over to Kabuto...

Hey,
Here is my deck. I focus on stopping my opponent from attacking. No matter how I do it,
when I attack, they don't attack back.I therefore affectionately call my deck the Brick
Wall deck. Heres the list:

1-Articuno
1-Psyduck
1-Golduck
1-Horsea

1-Omantye
1-Omastar
1-Krabby
1-Kingler
1-Shellder
1-Cloyster
1-Goldeen
1-Seaking
1-Staryu
1-Starmie

13-Water Energy
COLORLESS:
2-Jigglypuff

That is my Brick Wall deck. Most of my Poke'mon either prevent the opponent from attacking,
or they prevent their opponents attacks. I would really like your opinion on my deck ASAP.
Thanks. Thanks from a fellow Poke'mon Master,

*Kabuto takes over* Math sure is a great subject isn't it. This guy must be getting
good grades, he's only two cards off. Man, this one's worse than my card. WotC sure
screwed that up...
Pok閙on
I do see some fossils in there, but they're Omanyte and Omastar, the perfect Water Stage
twos... Boy, this person can spot the good cards- Omastar, Kingler, Cloyster, Starmie,
Seaking... *laughter* ONE ABRA!! Some Base Gastly and Haunter would really fit the
theme here. ALL THE POKEMON ARE SINGLES, excluding the two Jigglypuff! That's why the
deck SHOULDN'T work. But, it supposedly shut's down your opponents? I'd love to
see their decks, I'd have a field day Chipmunk would be proud of. I think I'll just
pull out the good ol' Backseat Control and- what...? Oh, yes. I'm supposed to have
some sort of advice here for how to fix this thing. I'd suggest taking the good ol'
Backseat Control and- oh, sorry... Here's my advice; your problem is that you have
WAY too many families and NO multiples, except those two Jigglypuff. Take it down to
about five families, and pyramid the evolutions, like four Seel and three Dewgong, or
three Psyduck and two Golduck. In other words, 4/3, 3/2, or 4/3/2 families. DON'T HAVE
JUST ONE OF A CARD! And, TAKE OUT THE TRASH (bad pun). Drop those useless Pok閙on, the
Cloyster and Omastar and Starmie and Seaking and Kingler. Oh, I just noticed psychic
seems to have become colorless... Maybe this person should see Dr. Crash; judging by
the deck, he could use a checkup on his mental status... Let's move on to the
Trainers.
Trainers
Our Poke'mon Master obviously sees the value of Trainers, we've moved into multiples.
Look at all that card drawing. You must really tear through that deck. There are actually
some good choices in there, namely Energy Removal,
Gust of Wind, and "Power Plus". One defender? Two Gambler, but no Prof. Oak or Bill?
You seem afraid to put more than one or two of a card in your deck. Take out the
Gambler and Recycle and Fossil, and add three or four Prof. Oaks and Bills and Com. Search,
some more Removals and Supers, some more Gust of wind, and either take out the Pluspowers
or add more.
Energy
The energy is actually pretty accurate, in relation to the Pok閙on ratios.
Here is an example of how you could make this deck better. Please,
before you send decks, look at some of the others. Has anyone noticed that EVERY
fix ends up with multiples? The mechanics shouldn't get this stuff...
Pok閙on (21)
3-Seel
2-Dewgong
4-Poliwag
3-Poliwhirl
2-Poliwrath
3 Ditto
4-Promo Mewtwo (Movie)
Trainers (15)
2-Pok閙on Trader
4-Bill
2-Prof. Oak
3-Energy Removals
2-Super Energy Removal
2-Gust of Wind
Energy (24)
12-Water
9-Psychic
3-Double Colorless
Think about this, and read the garage guidelines before you send your deck.
Kabuto
*Souper* Thanks, Kabuto. Not bad for his first bash, I think. I love the way he types with
those little claw things. Email us at Souper@Pojo.com.
