Interesting and fairly original Jordan. I have used both the Sabrina's lines
in decks myself in Gym Block decks. This deck has a few problems, like all
the Darkness pokemon out there now that are Psy resistant, but we will try to
make that a little bit less of a problem. Because this is obviously a Sabrina
themed deck, I decided to leave all of the Sabrina theme in the deck with one
exception.
POKEMON
The Sabrina's Venotat/Venomoth line is extremely useful if used properly.
Being able to poison, remove energy, heal, and confuse at the 75% rate is a
really nice assortment of attacks this line features. That the Venomoth has
free retreat is another bonus. If the Venonat only had 50Hp......(sigh). The
fact that it offers a diffrent weakness to a mostly psychic deck is also
nice. Add one Venomoth to make the line 3/2.
The Sabrina's Gastley/Haunter line is another pretty good line. Lets go with
just one kind of each here though. The question of which Gastley to use is a
tough one, since I see advantages to both. Since you seem to prefer the level
16 one, I went with it. For the Haunter though, I much prefer the level 29
one. The level 20 one can be good if you can get a lot of Gastley's out and
are gifted with fliping heads, otherwise, the level 29 one is better. I
prefer it for it's consistant damage. Lets reduce this line to 3/2.
Sabrina's Jynx.........hmmmmmmmm......... dont like this card much. You only
had a single copy of it, so I dumped it.
I like Chansey a lot, but you only had one of him. I either needed to add
more, or dump it. Decision: dump it.
Sabrina's Mr.Mime. Hmmmmm. At first look, I didnt care for this card much,
but after I thought about it a while, it seemed to be an ok "Sabrina's
alternative" to cleffa, especially when facing Slowking or Dark Vileplume
decks. Shuffle in the unplayable trainers and get energy for them. That isnt
too bad. Lets add one copy of this card to total 2.
The Movie Promo Mewtwo isn't what it once was, but he looks great in this
deck. The big problems he faces are other psychic (and I havent seen many
purely psychic decks in the last 6 months), and Ditto. There isnt much you
can do about Ditto, except hope your opponent doesn't get it into play before
you get your Mewtwo charged up to take it out first. Still, in this deck, it
is worth the risk. Lets go with 3 of them here.
I also added 2 Ditto for the allways useful ability to take down your
opponents heavy hiters with a speed advantage that Double Colorless can bring.
TRAINERS
I decided to keep the Sabrina's theme here too as much as possible. I kept
the Sabrina's Gaze and Sabrina's ESP at 2 each and added 1 more Sabrina to
bat to 2 as well.
The next thing I did was to go through and get rid of a lot of the single
copy trainers. Goodbye Potion, Pokemon Trader, Rocket's Sneak Attack, Energy
Removal, Challenge, Gust of Wind (yes I removed GOW, I have a reason for
this), and Blaine's Quiz #2. While I was at it, I also chucked the 3 Miracle
Berry. It is useful in some decks, but I didnt see it as being particularly
useful here.
Increase the Oak count to 4. You will need the search ability in a deck with
2 evolutions. Increase the Super energy removal count to 3, effectively
making the 3 removals you had all SER. Add a second Safron City Gym and 1
Resistance Gym. I think both have really important uses in this deck.
Add a Warp Point. Why warp point instead of Gust of Wind? Well there are 2
reasons here. Both your evolutions have zero retreat, effectively making it a
Gust if you have one of them on the bench. It also has the nice effect of
being able to bring up your opponents Ditto AND your own Mewtwo at the same
time which should help you get the ko on their Ditto before it can get to
your Mewtwo in a lot of cases. It can also be a useful way of dealing with a
lot of those nasty Mukrow mean look decks.
Add 2 Pokemon Center. This can be really good here with Sabrina and Saffron
City Gym. You often won't have to discard much energy to heal up your entire
side. Mewtwo's Absorption also negates a lot of the downside of discarding
energy off of him.
Throw in a couple Computer Search as well. There is no substitute for being
able to get just the card you need when you need it.
ENERGY
Add some DCE for Speed with Ditto, and for retreating Mewtwo, some Rainbow
for flexibility and so you can use both the attacks of the Venomoth line, a
couple grass energy so you can NGR them back if needed, and cut back on the
Psychic Energy.
