**THE DOOR OPENS**
Welcome
back to Martin's Mansion.
Today's deck looks like a fine example of fun
concepts being taken to the next level.
Lets take a look at today's sent
deck.
======================================================
Dear Martin:
I built this deck around
Sabrina's Golduck and Alakazam, a combo much talked about but rarely
seen.
Pokemon 20
4 Abra (Team Rocket, higher
HP and for evolving)
2 Kadabra (For evolving and for Super Psy)
3 Alakazam (Damage Swap to
full Bench to power Damage Shift)
4 Sabrina's Psyduck (For
evolving)
3 Sabrina's Golduck (Damage Shift, perfect with
Alakazam)
2 Cleffa (Neo Genesis, No explanation)
2 Chansey (Staller and Damage
Sponge)
Trainers 22
4 Bill (No
explanation)
4 Professor Oak (No explanation)
4 PlusPower (Gives Damage
Shift extra 10 to KO Haymaker Pokemon)
3 Pokemon Breeder (Get to
Alakazam quicker)
3 Gust of Wind (Bring up threat from bench)
2 Item Finder (Reuse
Trainers)
2 Computer Search (Get vital Pokemon or Trainer)
Energy 18
14 Psychic (To
attack)
4 Water (In case of emergency Water Spray)
Hope this peaks your
interest. Thanks for reading my deck!

Pokemon
I
like the deck idea. This deck has existed ever since Gym Challenge first came
out. Personally, I haven't seen that many people use this deck.
The
Alakazam line is the first thing we will look at. 4/2/3 line can work since you
play Pokemon breeder to compensate for the missing Kadabra.
Pokemon
breeder also allows you to get your whole combo out by second turn.
Play
2 Tyrogue in here. It's great against Clefable and Wigglytuff. Also, if you
actually choose to attack with some of your Psychic Pokemon (not recommended),
you have something to combat Psychic resistant fiends.
Playing only 2 Cleffa is a big no-no. You
play a lot of Pokemon, and you have to have them out on the board by turn 2, and
you need to build.
On average, you will get out your combo on turn 3,
because you will bench your basics, lass eliminating a gust threat, Eeeeeeek,
then _Power_Up_ your Golduck.
Since you
don't play Scoop up or Pokemon center, the whole "sponge" strategy is kinda
iffy. Drop a Chansey to make room for a 4th Cleffa. We will make more room
shortly.
Trainers
Your whole, "Add plus power to
Golduck and damage shift to KO a 70 HP Pokemon" strategy doesn't work. The
attack says MOVE DAMAGE COUNTERS, and dosen't actually do damage. So plus power
won't help.
Next, Bill isn't that good of a card these days. We have much
better options.
Play 2 Professor elm and add another search. Elm is great
with evolutions. The next spot will go towards a nightly Garbage run. This will
send back evolutions you trash by Oaking, Searching, etc.
Drop a
Pokemon breeder for another Gust.
Play Lass. Lass is great with Cleffa. Lass,
destroy their options, and get a fresh hand. I like those odds.
Also, play another Computer search to get out
your Evo's faster.
Energy
Last but not least, the energy.
You play
completely too much Psychic. You can trim it to 7.
Add 4 DCE. This
will help you retreat Alakazam, etc.
Swap and Shift!
