>Here is a deck that came 2nd in a tournament of 8 people. Yeah, an
inch of snow and people stay inside all day. Well, the only reason my deck
did not win was because in the finals my opening hand was a Jungle Pikachu, 5
Psychic Energy, and a Switch. My opponent went first, played a Hitmonchan,
Energy, Attached PlusPower and Jabbed for a first turn victory. Well,
here's my deck called PsyEctric Power (no it is not a Zap! variation at all, or
there'd be a lot of single trainers and Pokémon with about 28 energy):

Brian sends in a deck idea I've been thinking could be a real competitor.
This deck uses Alakazam's Damage Swap offensively, NOT to stall. The
thinking would be to have a heavy hitter out like 'Buzz or Mewtwo and quickly
build Alakazam on the bench to keep all the damage off your active Pokemon.
Here's my vision of the deck:
4 Electabuzz
3 Promo Mewtwo
4 Abra
3 Alakazam
2 Chansey
1 Mr. Mime
4 Bill
4 Pokemon Breeder
2 Professor Oak
3 Computer Search
2 Item Finder
3 Scoop Up
1 Pokemon Center
8 Electric
13 Psychic
3 DCE
Don't be deceived by the Scoop and Pokemon Center... This deck should be played
all offense! It should be very difficult for your opponent to Knock out
your big guns in 1 turn...and if they can (Raindance) Search for Mr. Mime ASAP
and you'll be set!
Another nice thing about this deck is your attackers are nearly immune to Energy
Removal. Mewtwo laughs at it and Electabuzz has such cheap attacks it
hardly slows it down.
Playtesting will tell if Breeder is the right call...Kadabra is certainly an
excellent Pokemon but Breeder builds your "combo" much faster.
It also looks like a Mr. Fuji belongs in this deck...I'll need to make room
somehow! =)
Hope this helps...have fun!
Aaron
