Over time, many pokemon trainers learn just how dangerous poisoning can be. Sucking up 10 points of damage at the end of both your turn and your opponent's turn amounts to the same thing as a Hitmochan Jab every turn, but above that, you can continue attacking!

It is always a pleasure to work on a deck that isn't the same as every other. And this person has chosen a theme of poison and I compliment them on it. Now, let's dig into the deck and see what minor changes we can make to enhance this theme and make it even more dangerous. We're going to add another line to this deck... the Venonat/Venomoth line!

Pokemon (14 Basic + 7 Evols = 21 Total):

The great thing about this deck is most of the attacks require little energy. Two grass is very common. The occasional third or fourth energy might be needed on the larger attacks, like for Nidoking. Plus, Scyther and the Nidoran evolutions both make great use of double-colorless, so we'll make sure we play with 4 of those.

Energy (20 Basic + 4 DCE = 24 Total):
20 Grass
4 Double Colorless Energy

The last thing we need is trainers that help support our theme. Our biggest problem lies with Fire and Psychic... one of the best defenses against fire decks is energy removal. So we'll make sure we play a lot of it. Psychic too requires a lot of energy to do attacks more than 10 or 20. We've got room for (60 - 21 - 24 = 15) 15 trainers. Half of those will be card drawing.
