Thank you.You know, I've been considering building a deck likes this for a while now, except with a slightly tighter theme. You are a bit loose with what you want to do, so I'm going to pass on some recommendations.
One neat thing about Alakazam and Venusaur, is using these two together to put a Chansey up front and just keep Double-Edging your opponent's pokemon right out of the fight. The problem? It is slow to get going. A possible solution? Play with the new Movie MewTwo and Scythers! Let's mess around with this and see what we can do.
Pokemon (14 Basic + 7 Evols = 21 Total):
3 Abra
2 Alakazam
3 Bulbasaur
2 Venusaur
3 Chansey
3 MewTwo (Movie Promo)
3 Scyther
We're skipping the mid-stages on Venusaur and Alakazam, and will make use of Pokemon Breeders to help us get up to their stages quicker. We can do this because we don't intend on having them as fighters. Our danger? Mew. And so, we're going to have to be prepared by always holding a Gust of Wind in our hand. Save it for Mew. If he hits the table and they put a psychic energy on him, Gust Mew forward and send up a powered Chansey or MewTwo for a quick KO.
Next, we need energy. We are going to need to play with some psychic, so MewTwo can attack; but, naturally, we are going to want as much grass as possible so we can move it around. And don't forget you can use MewTwo to Energy Absorb grass from the discard pile ;)
Energy (20 Basic + 4 DCE = 24 Total):
Finally, we'll select (60 - 21 - 24 = 15) 15 trainers to complete our deck. As we mentioned earlier, we're going to need Pokemon Breeders for Alakazam and Venusaur, and at the same time we're going to need Gust of Winds in case we see a Mew. Throw in some Pokemon Center for healing as well. Keeping this in mind and adding card drawing, we'll fill up 15 cards in a hurry.
14 Grass
6 Psychic
4 Double Colorless Energy
Trainers (15 Total):
4 Bill
1 Professor Oak
4 Pokemon Breeder
3 Gust of Wind
3 Pokemon Center
May the KO attacks be with you.
