No, this is not a sign of favoritism. Stroking
Vulpix's ego will NOT get your deck automatically
posted. It just seems that way :-)
1) Nothing wrong with the amount of Pokemon you have.
But your theme seems a tad bit weak in the first
place. Keep in mind that when you use Lure and such,
you use up your attack without really doing any
damage. And I have to say that I really just don't
like the Pidgeot family. While it may be true that
Hurricane occasionally allows for some really cheap
(and immensely satisfying) wins, it's not worth
running what is IMO one of the weakest Stage 2
families...Try changing your theme a tad and go for
the beatdown with fire. Juggling your opponent's Pokes
around may be fun, but if you screw around too long
it's gonna catch up to you. This is probably why you
are so weak to Haymaker and why you are surprisingly
strong against Rain Dance. I'm not sure what would be
ideal for your area, but I'm going to try to help you
do better against Haymakers. Now that you've got 4
Magmar and 3-2 Ninetales (be still my beating heart),
try adding in another Fire family. Try one that
doesn't need quite as much energy; Rapidash and
Arcanine are good bets. Lastly, some good Colorless.
I'd recommend Kangaskhan (yet again.) These changes
are gonna make you more vulnerable to Raindance, but
that's something that we have to learn to live with as
Fire aficionados.
2) Very good trainers. Very, VERY good trainers. Only
a few nitpicky parts. A) drop the Traders for
Searches; I really find Search to be much more useful.
B) loose the Scoop Up, they make no sense whatsoever
in such an evolution-intensive deck. C) take out one
Energy Retrieval and fit some Energy Removal in. I
realize GOW is an important part of your strategy, but
if you need space, taking out one wouldn't kill you.
3) The amount of DCE you run depends on what Pokemon
you have. I have Kangaskhan and Arcanine in my deck,
so some DCE is ideal for me. You might not want any if
you would only be using it for colorless Pokemon. Once
again, this is largely determined by what families you
decide to put in.

VULPIX: Vulpix vulpix! [I think you should have told
him to run Ninetales 4-3 instead of 3-2.]
SPIKE: That's what I do, but it's personal preference.
Having only 2 of them is probably a little more solid
in most decks. If he needs more hitting power, he can
replace Rapidash with Arcanine. He just said he was
having trouble with Haymaker, so I'm looking for
non-discarding, relatively cheap attacks that help
screw up your opponent.
VULPIX: Vulpix vulpix. Vulpix. [Mmm. Haymakers are
always fun to play against. We don't always win, but
it's always an adrenaline rush, especially if we're
playing somebody really good.]
SPIKE: That it is. But you gotta remember, this is
going to make him so much weaker to Blastoise.
VULPIX: Vulpix. Vulpix vulpix vulpix. [That's
something that we Fire Pokemon just have to learn to
live with. There are always small-minded people out
there who want to hurt us with water Pokemon.]
SPIKE: Hopefully things will be different someday.
